The more SHE body parts you get, the harder everything gets, more enemies with more health, ect. (I'm not 100% sure on this)
Mimics, Cringes, or anything other than the player's direct input (e.g. shooting or throwing a item) killing a fatty will not count against you in your gut reputation
At this point, I do not know what the phone booths do. However, around the field, there are shortcuts to each biome, most are behind gates that require golden keys (Golden Keys look like regular elevator keys but with gold chunks surrounding it.)
hope this helps, most of this is from my experience in the game, though some of it may be a tad inaccurate
When I die, does the gut's hatred of me reset? I seem to piss off meat monsters no matter what I do and there's face huggers everywhere... even on meat garden I'm getting nowhere. I managed to serum a memento i really like so i'd hate to have to restart completely to play better.
if a fatty is in a Cringe and the cringe kills it, does that count against me?
The phone booth says you can reset your position in the gut, but I always start at -1 after dying. is there a way to start closer to where I lost?
- Cults begin to appear in the Factory, and will continue to appear every level or so until you join one. They can be bleed, gold hunger, fire, or poison. This grants immunity to said status, and allows you to produce a cloud of that status when harmed. Poison seems to work really well, since poison clouds appear fairly often throughout the Gut. Fire and gold hunger are more situational, and bleed is rare, these wouldn’t allow you to take much advantage of their immunity.
- Most mimics have telltale visual indicators that distinguish them from the rest of the environment.
- Meaters always emit light.
- Deeeeeeeeer heads are mounted on meat rather than wood.
- Mr. Windows have fingers sticking out of their frames.
- Treeters sway, while normal trees don't.
- Meat holes, as far as I can tell, will only ever have items or mementos, not keys. Most will hurt you. You can tell whether a meat hole has an item in it by looking at a map.
- Grab as many mementos as you can, but always keep at least one lobotomizer handy, just in case you get one of the handful of undesirable ones. You can usually get two per level, one spawns normally, and the other can be gotten by destroying the She statue (most of the time. Occasionally, no memento will appear).
- Killing monsters does indeed anger the Gut. However, you can circumvent this by killing them with hand traps, setting off a meat trap, or getting a pet to do it for you. Killing one with a cult power also works.
