Hi! In this guide, I will try to provide information on the number of advantage (adv) frames that various cancel of normals and specials can give. This is rather narrowly focused information and its usefulness is determined for each in its own way. Below I will provide three wikis on which you can learn more general information:

But at the current moment, when I doing this guide, these wikis don't contain full information about all cancels of moves and the adv provided by these.
The information contained in this guide has been checked several times to minimize mistakes. Also, English is not my native language, therefore mistakes in utterances are possible in this text.

FAQ
  1. What do numbers in the moves mean?
    Those are directions. Look at the numpad,

    236 is down > down+forward > forward. 3 is down+forward pressed simultaneously, for example.
  2. What is ">", "[X]" and "w5A"?
    ">" means "then". "[X]" means charge X button. "w5A" means whiff 5A.
  3. How to cancel normals into roll?
    You can cancel 5A into roll if the opponent is in blockstun or hitstun from your normal. You can cancel 5A even during 5A startup, which is exactly what you need to do. For C attacks, timing is very strict, it is about 50-200 milliseconds.
  4. Is roll cancel useful only for crossup during blockstring?
    Roll (aka Whirlwind) is very situational tool. Using a roll is very risky and you need to clearly understand when a roll can be made. Despite the fact that a roll can be used for crossup, for pressure refresh, for defense and as combo element, roll is very unstable.
  5. What is adv/advantage?
    It's the difference in frames where you can act before your opponent when move is blocked (although adv for hits is also sometimes indicated, but not in this guide).
  6. How does a green shield affect at adv against roll cancel?
    It always will add -15 adv to that person who uses green shield. If opponent uses regular shield, then it will add -3 adv to you.
  7. Why not shorten this guide?
    I rechecked the information many times, and in order to avoid mistakes because of hasty conclusions, I set it out full. It will be easier for people to point out mistakes if I made them. You can simply scroll through unnecessary information
  8. Which of the information provided in this guide differs from the information on the wiki?
    At the time of July 11, 2020 (this is the date this guide was created), the following is different:
    • Changed adv for 236C;
    • Chanded adv for 236B into dash cancel;
    • Added adv for moves roll cancel (currently on wiki only adv for 5A, 5B, 5C);
    • Added adv for 236C into dash cancel.
  9. Why not just add this info it to the wiki instead of writing this guide?
    I suggested some of these changes, but it seems these changes were too minor for adding. It’s very unpleasant for me to impose myself, but I wanted to share this hardly useful information.

Some additional information
  • Cancelling Dash Cancel into Roll Cancel adds -3 to adv;
  • After successful dodge fastest FF+Attack startup is 3 frames;
  • If opponent block your attack with shield, it adds -3 to your adv;
