A little guide how you can create your own Item-Icons in your RPG in a Box project with the free grafic-tool: Gimp. Fast and easy, the main-details you need to know. (This guide expect some Gimp xp.)

Game Icons for RPG in a Box can have a pic-size of: 16*16 or 32 * 32 Pixel.
Gimp-Grid Size: 1 * 1 Pixel.
Grafic Export Format: PNG

Shift + E == Rubber
O == Pipette

N == Pen (Size: 1 px)

Grab color:
N (active) == Press Control to grab color

Use Line-Tool:
N (active) == click on the pixel-start position and hold Shift for a line-tool.
Shift + E (active) == same ^^

You can use in Gimp another window for the 100% default-grafic size, to check the results from the working-window. In the window-2 you can disable window-tools, like lines, paths, etc for a clean-view. Change the background-color in Gimp for a better look.

Alt + 1 == Window 1 (higher / max zoom)
Alt + 2 == Window 2 (100% default-zoom)
