Introduction
Hi everybody! I ran into some troubles getting 100% achievements for this game and I thought I'd help out by creating a guide consolidating all the info I came across. This is my first guide ever and hope this helps anybody after me. FFV is one of my favorite in the series so I hope I do it some justice.

And of course SPOILERS WARNING

Happy Hunting
Tips: CPU/GPU Performance and Steam Overlay
First off you might run into CPU and GPU performance issues with this game. The issue? It eats up CPU\GPU memory like nobody's business. I was playing on a laptop and it made the fans sound like a jet engine. Here's a workaround I found to get it under control. I have a Nvidia GPU in my laptop so steps contain using the control panel. If you have a ATI, I hope you have something similar you can run to set the max frame rate.

You might also notice the Steam Overlay doesn't appear if you try to bring it up. The first two steps here will solve that problem.

Props go to the ones who figured this out before me, just can't find the links I used for reference.

1. Browse the local files for FFV
2. In the root, rename opengl32.dll to opengl32.dll.bak.
3. Open your Nvidia Control Panel
* This was written using Nvidia Control Panel 8.1.940.0
4. Under "3D Settings" go to "Manage 3D Settings"
5. Select Program Settings
6. Select FFV_game.exe
7. Set Max Frame Rate to 58
8. Set Triple Buffering to "Off"
9. Set Vertical Sync to "Off"
*You may have to adjust more but these were the 3 settings that helped me.
** The Launcher still eats up a lot of CPU at the start but I found that this eventually quiets down as you play.
Tips: PS4 Controller Workaround
I mainly use a PS4 controller when playing on Steam. Unfortunately it isn't supported for this game. If you want to use it, Steam actually has a way which is quite useful.
1. Click Steam on the main menu bar of the client.
2. Select Settings
3. Select Controller
4. Select Desktop Controller
5. Now map your controller buttons to the keyboard buttons used for the game as you wish.
*This was using steam client application Built Jul 8 2020 at 16:16:04 Steam API: v020 and Steam Package Versions: 1594252496. I can't guarantee these steps will hold up or are even necessary in the future.
Tips: Macros for Grinding
This game requires a lot of grinding to master all the jobs and get to level 99. Luckily it actually takes less time than FFIII. In general I recommend setting up simple macros to grind on the side when you are doing other things, like watching TV, eating, or whatever. Combined with Auto Battle, you can easily set up a macro to walk up and down, and another to press the Confirm button once every second. Using a Razer laptop I could use Razer Synapse to set up said marcos and hot key them to F4 and F5 toggle them on and off. I'm sure there are other solutions if you aren't using Razer products.

If you are going to use macros, first get in a battle and set everyone to attack or the most efficient action of killing the monsters you are grinding. Then turn on Auto Battle and the macros for walking and confirming. Then relax and let the game play itself. Check in every once and while to make sure people don’t need to be healed or if you need to switch out jobs you mastered.

See the Experience and Job Grind sections for the most efficient grinding spots. But with using macros, you can set up in easy spots to grind out exp and APB when you can't actively play. It's really a life saver.
Tips: Galuf and Krile
SPOILER ALERT AGAIN

Galuf dies but that doesn't mean your achievement hunting does. Just to set the record clear, in case you are worried, all his experience and jobs progression passes to his granddaughter Krile. And yes, you can still get the level achievements and job achievements with her. You really don't miss a beat. You don't have to worry about grinding Galuf up and then Krile. Just keep playing and slaying like you normally do and get them achievements.
Tips: Jobs
Job Locations
You'll get most of the jobs as you play naturally but Mime is hidden and there were a few added to the GBA version that have carried over. Here's where and when you'll find the jobs if you are looking for a particular one or curious when you'll get it.

Wind Crystal Jobs - Knight, Monk, Thief, White Mage, Black Mage, Blue Mage
Where\When: In the Wind Shrine toward the beginning of the game.

Water Crystal Jobs - Berserker, Mystic Knight, Time Mage, Summoner, Red Mage
Mime is technically a Water Crystal Job but you can't get it yet.
Where\When: In the Walse Tower dungeon a few dungeons and towns after the Wind Shrine. That last shard you can't grab, when the tower sinks is Mime, don't worry you'll get it later.

Fire Crystal Jobs - Ninja, Geomancer, Beastmaster
Bard and Ranger are technically Fire Crystal Jobs but they'll be obtained later.
Where\When: After Karnak Castle explodes. This is shortly after Walse Tower.

Bard and Ranger
Where\When: After the fire crystal, you'll get a boat again and you can explore most of World 1. Eventually the story will take you to Crescent Island where you have to get a Black Chocobo who will have these two crystal shards.

Earth Crystal Jobs - Dragoon, Samurai, Chemist, Dancer
Where\When: After you beat the boss at the Ronka Ruins, the big flying fortress in the sky. This will be the last big dungeon of World 1.

Mime
Where\When: All the way in World 3 and only after you have Cid and Mid fix your airship so it turns into a submarine, thus making it a triplechanger. Dive underwater and the Walse Tower will be on the map. Sail to it and and enter the tower. Go down the tower until you get the shard. For the fight the Mime don't do anything for about a 60 - 90 seconds. You don't even need to Defend. He'll eventually congratulate you and give you the shard. You can teleport out of the tower if you want after.

GBA \ iOS \ Android \ Steam Jobs - Cannoneer, Gladiator, Oracle
Necromancer is also considered in this batch but you'll get it later.
Where\When: After you get all 12 legendary weapons there will be an earthquake and a new crack in the ocean floor will open up south of Phantom Village. Take your Submarine to this new crack and the shards will be lying on the floor in the cave with three doors and a switch.

Necromancer
Where\When: After you beat the main story go back to the cave where you got the other three jobs above. This cave will give you access to the optional post game dungeon the Sealed Temple. At the end of the Sealed Temple you'll fight Enuo and obtain this very last job when he's defeated.

Freelancers and Mimes
These two are the best in the late game after mastering a few jobs if not all jobs. They have the following benefits
1. Freelancers can equip 2 abilities, and equip any armor and weapon.

2. Mimes can equip 3 abilities but don't have Attack and Item automatically equip so keep that in mind.

3. When you master another job it provides a stat boost to Freelancers and Mime. The stat boosted is dependent on the job mastered.

4. Freelancers and Mimes learn certain innate abilities from a class when the class learns that ability. See link below for the list of abilities they can gain. From what I've read online, Gladiator's Lure ability will not be learned.

https://finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Freelancer_(Final_Fantasy_V)

Job Abilities, Weapons, and Armors
All credit goes to this author and his sources, he provides a good chart that breaks down all the job levels, abilities, required AP, weapons and armor. Good reference when you are looking for a particular ability or wonder how much AP a Job is going to need to master.

https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=524399560

Late Game Job Setup
If you look online for suggested builds and job setups you might see a lot of Spellblade and Rapid Fire suggestions and let me tell you, it really works. There are only a few exceptions where you can't overpower a fight with spamming Rapid Fire and using Spellblade if you need the extra kick. Ninja's Dual Wield is a must too as it means you are essentially attacking 8 times with one Rapid Fire.

So I would recommend having 3 Freelancers with Spellblade and Rapid Fire. I recommend setting Krile, who supposedly has the best magic and weakest physical, as a Mime with Dual Cast, White Magic, and either Time Magic or Summon. I recommend Time Magic in most situations to cast Hastega to get more devastating Rapid Fires in. Summon is good in some situations where Odin can quickly take out a bunch of weak bosses. But honestly, her role is support.
Achievements: Story Related
Here's a list of all the Story related achievements for this game. You'll get these all through natural gameplay.

Achievements: The Missables - Treasures, Bestiary, Piano, and a Few Others
All the props in the world go to the team behind this guide. This will be your best friend for collecting all the missable treasures, monsters for the bestiary, and pianos. Give the guide a thumbs up and show it some support.
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=523881915&searchtext=piano
As of writing this guide I can confirm that this will get you all the treasure chests and the complete bestiary. Here are a few tips when following this guide. To be honest this is where most of your hard work is going to go.

1. Save often and always have a backup save before you go into One Visit Places.

2. You won't be able to check the status of your treasure chests until World 3.

3. Bard Songs don't count toward treasure count.

4. I didn't run into any issues using quick save and resume. I've read that being an issue for people.

5. Save in a different slot before going to World 2 and World 3. This just gives you back up plans in case you miss a chest.

6. You have to get ALL chests and treasures on ONE save file for the achievement to pop. So be careful and good luck.

7. Checking the Bestiary is thankfully easy in this game as it's in the Main Menu or the Config menu of your normal in game menu. Check it often when you are a place with missable monsters so you can be sure you got everything before leaving.

8. Missing a monster on the bestiary isn't a major deal. The bestiary actually carries over all saves. Worst case scenario you only have to play up to the point you missed a monster if it comes to that.

9. The guide lists that you can miss 252. Iron Claw if you kill the general too fast. There is no general. As you walk down the front steps of Karnak Castle to escape you'll automatically fight a Sergeant with a few Cur Nakks, similar to what you've already faced before. Kill the Cur Nakks and wait for your characters to start talking about the Sergeant who will eventually morph into the Iron Claw. Then proceed to kill him dead to get the bestiary entry.

10. 310. Gilgamesh is missable if you kill Necrophobe too quickly. If you follow the guide up to that point kill the barriers and wait for Gilgamesh to show up. He'll have a speech and fight Necrophobe for you. Steal from Gilgamesh if you want Genji Armor but you can Defend and let the battle play out. This will net you the Made It! Achievement.

11. If you think you a missed a treasure chest and tearing your hair out because your at 99% and combed everywhere you can, see the Emergency Back Up Plan near the end of this guide.

Following the above guide and tips will net you the following achievements. See the Super Bosses section for more strategies to fight the super bosses (Omegas and Shinyus).

Achievements: The Grind - Experience
Credit and props go to this guide and its author for some solid grinding locations in the late game.

https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=547115396

The tips in the guide above are for grinding in the Sealed Temple, which has the toughest enemies, but really help to push through the 70s - 90s. Toward the end it'll take as much as 300,000 experience to gain one level and this guide help makes it as efficient as it can be.

The Cannoneer learns the ability EXP Up which grants 1.5x experience to whoever has it equipped. To further clarify it only benefits the person who has it equipped, so everyone will need to learn it and have it equipped to grind efficiently. Even though Cannoneer comes in late, the ability is welcomed as you can master all the jobs before you reach level 99.

Note that all bosses and some late game enemies actually only give APB and no EXP.

Again using macros to help grind along the way while you can't actively play will help cut down on, well... the grind.

There are five level achievements per character for milestones 10, 25, 50, 75, and 99. Following the guide and tips will net you all 20 achievements and ultimately these 4.

Don't Mess with Me
You raised Bartz to level 99.

Chancellor' Relief
You raised Lenna to level 99.

Gone Too Far!
You raised Galuf to level 99.
Counts for Krylie too

Look at Me Now!
You raised Faris to level 99.
Achievements: The Grind - Jobs
Once again, somebody else has done it better. Follow this guide for good ABP grinding spots to level up your jobs.
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1664496901

Note that Bal Castle strategy is a good one to set up macros to but you have to keep an eye on your gold needle supply to make it work.

Another note, Oracle has a ABP Up ability that will raise the ABP gained by x1.5 but only for the character that has it equipped. Oracle is one of the last jobs you get in the game so if you've been grinding this whole time along the way, you aren't going to get much use out of it.

Following this guide will get you all the job achievements and the ultimate prize.

Job Master
All four characters mastered every job.
Achievements: Super Bosses
The super bosses can be tough depending on what level you are when you fight them. Honestly Omega Mk. II. and Neo Shinyu are the trickiest. They are some of the last bosses you fight in the game so I suggest tackling them when you finish grinding out Jobs and Levels, and even then they are tough. Follow the strategies in the link below for solid plans to beat them. Follow the strategy further below on grinding out Dragon Lances to fight Neo Shinyu.

Super Bosses Strategies:
https://www.cavesofnarshe.com/ff5/optional.php

Grinding for Dragon Lances
So I found using Dragon Lances the most effective method for fighting Neo Shinyu in the above link's D.E.A.T.H. strategy. Only problem is Dragon Lances are a rare steal (~3%) and you'll need 8 of them.

To do this grind easily you need the following.
1. Time Spell Return
2. Steal ability
3. Flee Ability
4. Access to The Lethe Court in the Sealed Temple
5. Masamune (One of the 12 sealed weapons)

Setup everybody as Freelancers with the following. You can also set them as Mimics as well but make sure they have the following set ups. I also suggest they have Hermes Sandals just to make things even faster but not required.

Character 1 (for me Faris)
1. Masamune
2. Flee
3. Steal
This character is used to flee from battle instantly if you don't encounter Crystal Dragons. Masamune will always give the bearer first action so use it to Flee when it's the not the right enemy.

Character 2 (for me Krile)
1. Steal
2. White Magic (completely optional this is just to heal after battles easily if necessary because monsters still hit really hard. She can have either Flee or Time Magic as a back up).

Character 3 and 4 (Bartz and Lenna)
1. Steal
2. Time Magic
These two are used to Cast Return if you don't get a Dragon Lance from the Crystal Dragons. Return will reroll what they are carrying and let you try again.

The Process
1. Enter The Lethe Court in the Sealed Temple and go to the area where you fight the Guardian.
2. Walk around until you fight 2 Crystal Dragons as a random encounter, they carry Dragon Lances. If you don't get Crystal Dragons just flee to save yourself time.
3. When you get 2 Crystal Dragons, steal from them.
4. Use Return with Character 3 or 4 to reset the battle if you don't get a Dragon Lance.
5. If you get a Dragon Lance, flee or kill the dragons. You still keep the Dragon Lance if you flee.
6. Heal up with Character 2 if you need to.
7. Rinse and repeat until you got 8 Dragon Lances.

Following this section should get you the following achievements.

Mechanical Warrior
You Defeated Omega.

Demon Dragon
You defeated Shinyu.

Mechanical Warrior II
You defeated Omega Mk. II.

Neo Demon Dragon
You defeated Neo Shinryu.
Achievements: The Miscellaneous
Fallen Warrior
You cleared the Cloister of the Dead.

The Cloister of the Dead is essentially a boss rush of 30 bosses that is unlocked after beating Enuo in the Sealed Temple. These bosses are the same ones you already faced before through the game and they aren't even buffed or scaled to your level. If you have already grinded out the levels and jobs this will be easy. If not, follow the guide below for tips in case you forget some of the bosses' gimmicks. The achievement will pop when you beat the last boss, leave, and the guy outside gives you a medal.

https://www.cavesofnarshe.com/ff5/cloister.php

Some quick tips
1. There are 6 rooms\waves that contain 5 bosses each. You'll face one boss at a time but don't get a break until the last boss of the room is dead.
2. After the last boss of the room is dead you'll have time to go into your menu and heal up before moving into the next room.
3. Again it's pretty easy if you already grinded out to max level and jobs but you might still need ethers and elixirs to refresh your party the further you go.
4. I recommend going with the suggested late game build in the Jobs Section except substitute Time Magic for Summoner.

Forget Something?
You escaped from the final battle.

At the final battle in the Interdimensional Rift you run into Exdeath in his normal form. There'll be some talking and he'll morph into a tree and send your team to the void. There will be some more talking and the team will get bailed out and get back to the Interdimensional Rift - Last Floor. At this point you should have control back of your character. Now leave the Interdimensional Rift - Last Floor and get back to Interdimensional Rift - Castle. I suggest saving at the save point if you beat Necrophobe. As soon as you are at the castle use the Time Magic Teleport. This will take you completely out of the Interdimensional Rift and back at the world map. The achievement should pop here. If it does and you saved like I suggested, quit to main menu and reload your save to go beat up Exdeath!

You can still get this achievement if you beat the game and playing with a star on your save. This late game mode warps you back to before the Exdeath scene where he turns into a tree and sends you to the void. So you can still get back and follow the steps above.

The Real Letter
"You defeated Neo Exdeath without anyone in your party dying."

I think this just means that everybody needs to be alive at the end of the battle, revives should be okay during the fight. FFV's ending changes slightly depending on who is alive when Neo Exdeath is defeated. Having everyone alive at the end will get you the best ending. The achievement should pop either before or after the credits.

You can still get this achievement and fight Neo Exdeath again if you save and go into late game mode with a star on your save. This warps you back to before you fight Exdeath in the Interdimensional Rift for another shot.

Gil Achievements
Low Cash Flow
You earned 10,000 gil.

Gil Cave Time!
You earned 50,000 gil.

Flush with Gil
You earned 200,000 gil.

Gil to Burn
You earned 500,000 gil.

These achievements are counting the gil currently in your wallet\purse. So you'll have to have 500,000 at one time to get the last achievement Gil to Burn. You are highly likely to get this on the road to Job Master and Level 99.

Defeating Monsters Achievements
Bronze Hunter
You defeated 100 enemies.

Silver Hunter
You defeated 300 enemies.

Gold Hunter
You defeated 1,000 enemies.

Platinum Hunter
You defeated 2,000 enemies.

You are almost guaranteed to get these on your way to Job Master and level 99. I don't think it's mathematically possible to get to level 99 and master all jobs without defeating 2000 monsters but I've been wrong before.
Achievements: The End
In the end, no matter what your last achievement is you should get this last achievement along with it. If it doesn't pop, quit out of game completely and relaunch. It should pop then.

Achievement HereFINAL FANTASY V Master
You earned all achievements.

Congratulations! Your long journey is over!
The Emergency Back Up Plan
WARNING! Break glass only in emergency

Linked below is my save file in case your achievement hunt goes south and you miss one treasure and can't back track or screwed up and need a back up save. I have you covered as best I can. Download the save below and place it in the save location. I recommend creating a copy of your original file if you want to go back and pick up where you left off.

The Bestiary is already completed on my saves so I'm not sure if this is going to help you get the achievements for you or screw up your own progress. I still recommend you create a copy of your original save before using mine.

I had obtained all but one treasure when following the guide but I was lucky enough that I was just missing the Main Gauche in Moore and that town is still accessible in World 3. I had missed it by accident. I decided to preserve that save to help any unfortunate soul that missed one of the missable treasures. Of course if you want to use the save so you don't have to worry about finding the treasures I totally get it. Honestly hunting monsters for the Bestiary is way more fun and at least that can be carried between saves.

Last word of warning use this only if you really need it. It won't give you all the achievements but we all know that Treasure Hunter achievement is a pain and nobody should have to go through the entire game again just for that.

Steps on how to use the save to get the treasure achievement (Thanks @Eckla for the help!)
1. Download the file from the link above.

3. Move your own files.
4. Put the files from step 1 into the save location
5. Start FFV

8. Return to the save location and delete files from step 1.

10. Return to FFV and save in game.
11. Grab the Main Guache.

In theory the above steps could be used for other situations to get other ac
See below for a brief description on what each file slot is.

File 1: This has 8 Dragon Lances, everyone is level 99 and all jobs are mastered. This is saved right before the Neo Shinyu fight so you are queued up to beat him.

File 2: Backup save, not important.

File 3: End of World 1 and ready to go into the portal to enter World 2. This has all the Pianos and Treasures available to this point.

File 4: Near the end of World 2 and ready to go into Exdeath's Castle. This has all pianos available to this point. It has all but one treasure available to this point. It's missing the Main Gauche in Moore.

File 5: All 12 legendary weapons obtained, magics, and summons, and ready to go into the Interdimensional Rift to complete the story. All pianos are already obtained so can't be used to get that achievement. This has all available treasures up to this point but missing the Main Gauche in Moore

File 6: The file you all be waiting for! This is after the Neo Shinyu fight but before the last treasure is obtained for the Treasure Hunter achievement. The last treasure of this save file is the Main Gauche found in the town of Moore which is still accessible in World 3. Load this save, fly over, and get that sucker. I'm hoping the achievement will pop for you.

File 7: After getting the last treasure but before going through the Cloister of the Dead for the last achievement of my long journey.
Conclusion: Credits and Thanks
Credit, applause, and thanks to all the guide authors and posters who provided all the real info that make up this guide. I'm just really consolidating in one place to any fellow adventurer who needs the help.

Thanks for reading and I hope this helped you on your adventure in some way.

I didn't get the treasure hunter achievement either. And the back up file didn't work (main gauche is not in Moore anymore). Please, I need some help, I followed the treasure and monster guide and still didn't receive the achievement.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the Main Gauche isn't in a treasure chest and isn't part of the Treasure Hunter Achievement.

Congrats @Eckla ! However, I am still not getting the achievement by doing this.

I tried by saving @Mr. Knightmare 's file onto mine, and getting the Main Gauche. It didn't work, so I decided to start the game with my own saves (with the one on this guide saved onto mine) and get the main gauche, but it didn't work either.

It's the only achievement I'm missing

@Eckla, Awesome! Thanks for figuring it out. I added the steps to my guide!
