Anyone is free to update it or convert it to use VF. I really can't be bothered to do so atm, consider it open source.

If you decide to go back to this mod, I recommend looking at Vehicle Framework and Aerocraft Framework (SRTS works better at the time of this comment for combat and transport, as SRTS is like a balance of the two.) AF is good specifically for combat vehicles and drones but may result in the projectiles it launches to hit itself often. VF is pretty good in terms of being a transport/cargo vehicle, but has no aerial combat as of right now whatsoever.
