Set rules for Bitdefender
Follow these easy steps to fix Rainbow Six Siege from not launching.

- Start up Bitdefender

- Go to "protection" screen
- Go to "Advanced Threat Defense" screen

- Go to "manage exceptions"
- click on "add exception"

- at the top part of this screen enter the following:
X:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege\RainbowSix.exe
- swap "X" with the drive on which Steam is installed
- Make sure all 3 options are selected to be on. "Antivirus", "Online Threat Prevention" and "Advanced Threat Defense".

- after that click "Add Exception"
- after that click "OK"
- now it should all work!

- You may also need to add Battleye to Bitdefender exceptions: Basicly do the same steps but add:
D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege\BattlEye\BEService_x64.exe

If it doesn't work you can manually search for "RainbowSix.exe". Just simply instead of copy pasting my line and replace X with the drive your Steam is installed on you simply manually search for Steam install folder. Use below images to see how. If you still can't get it to work now it's a different kind of problem and I would advice reinstalling Uplay and Battleye. Both installers should be in the folder Rainbow Six Siege is installed on.

Go the the drive you think Steam is installed on. Most of the times it is C or D drive.

Go to Steam folder / Steamapps / Common

Scroll down to Tom Clansy's Rainbow Six Siege folder

Select "RainbowSix.exe"

If after this guide you still can't get R6 to work, you basicly need someone with at least a little PC knowledge to fix the problem. So ask your grandma, grandpa, parents or Bill Gates.

Another side note, Bitdefender can sometimes remove the exception rule made for some reason. Meaning you need to follow these steps 1 more time. It can also happen when Ubisoft brings a new update to Siege. So whenever you run into these problems, follow this guide again to fix it.
Other versions of Bitdefender
If you don't have Bitdefender Total Security, you probably don't have Advanced Threat Defense.
What you should do then is add rules simular to this guide for Antivirus and Firewall instead.
Other fixes for game not launching
I know there are some other problems with Siege not launching so try these following fixes:

- Update your videocard driver
https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx for Nvidea
https://www.amd.com/en/support for AMD drivers

- Update your Windows system with latest updates

- Try to reinstall/update vc-redist C++ drivers
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

- try to reinstall Uplay
https://uplay.ubisoft.com/en-GB

- Try reinstall Battleye from your local Rainbow Six Siege Folder
"X:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege\BattlEye"
And run "Install_BattlEye.bat"

Reinstall Uplay Launcher/Batlleye instead, because those 2 sitty programmed tools are always the problem causing it.

Also, tts is working perfectly
Before battleye would have the starting pop up but say failed to initialised
Now there is nothing, so perhaps I just need to fresh reinstall siege, cause verify and integrity says its all ok

This unfortunately did not work for me, I also check all the other fixes. Do you have any other suggestions?

I always have multi device for 10 devices, but always buy a 2 year license in a local store for around 50 euro, instead of the 70 euro on their own website.

Hitdetection of Bitdefender is pretty high, always in the top 3 most detection. Even for newer virusses that aren't yet discovered.

For me gaming is the only reason I still run Windows. But I got dual boot to Mint atm. Some games run great on it.

For me Mint feels most finished. Also when u want to run Windows stuff on it. And has many nice GUI to choose from.

Thank you Vovical. Got a question. When it comes to Linux distributions: what is your favorite taste? Mine is Linux Mint for beginner users and Arch Linux for those who like to build up their own Linux from scratch. And to never forget Kali Linux for pentesting.
