This is a very simple and common error. You will most likely experience this time to time if you play on different servers.

Anyway if you get this issue don't worry its very very simple to fix. Now the reason this is happening to put into short is because the map is duplicating/conflicting with another map.

Anyway, let's get on with it. If you know anything about computers this should be a no brainer to follow.

Alright, so first thing you will want to do is see what map the server uses. You can either see that from the error message where it says "maps/(map file name)" or on the servers right side listed in the server browser.

Once you have found the map simply unsubscribe from it and close your Garry's Mod, it's very important you close Garry's Mod so don't ignore that step.

Now go to your Garry's Mod addons folder and delete the maps .gma file.

The addons folder should be located like this (Make sure its the right hdd/ssd card)


If you can't find the .gma file you can simply delete the entire addons folder. Once you open Garry's Mod again the addons folder will be automatically re-added with all the subscribed addons, however, it will re-download all the addons on launch.

Once that is done re-launch Garry's Mod and subscribe to the map again.

Once the map is finished downloading restart Garry's Mod and rejoin whatever server you where trying to join. You should not get these messages anymore. However, if you somehow still do it could be an issue with the actual map and in that case I would suggest contacting the owner of the server or simply try joining another server that isn't using that map.
