Some immortal blob creature 11 Sep, 2022 @ 7:21pm
Some quick tips incase someone wants to replicate this, when you're leaving your ship angle it with the bottem away from the direction of your orbit, doing this will make it easier to exit your ship. You can park your ship on the glass dome of the sun station for an easy setup.
If you're having trouble catching up to the station then this might sound crazy but try slowing down, higher speed means higher orbit means more distance which means that you'll be going slower relative to the sunstation, lower speed means lower orbit means less distance which means that you'll be going faster relative to the sunstation. If you're still having trouble don't worry about it too much, this is quite literally rocket science after all so it's only natural that it takes some practice.

This one keeps giving me trouble. tried crashing into it by going straight into its path but kept blowing up. now i know to travel across the sun in line with it not at the sun... hopefully get it right tomorrow...

Wait, you can lock on to the station? i smacked into it, shimmied my ship until it was against the door and ejected myself inside. this looks much safer hahahahaha :Hearthian_Dead: :praisesun:

Wow, you cool

Pain in the ***. Just keep practicing and you'll get it. Once you get close enough to lock on and match velocity, you're golden.

When i land onto this manually i do it completely in a straight line in one go, so i line it up so my ship is straight in line vertically with the movement of the station around the sun. Then i aim for 6km distance from the sun by the time i see the station arise from the bottom of the sun (/ or top). Then you just go full speed and slow as much as possible before crashing (i always land on the funny symbol shaped thing each time as it wedges the ship nicely.

I had this happen once :)

It's so funny, when I did this I didn't have my suit on when I got close enough. So when I got out of the cockpit after I managed to get the velocity matched, the gravity just threw me against the back wall. I had to wait until my ship rotated enough that it threw me into the suit compartment. Then wait again until It turned enough to let me get out the hatch XD. Managed it, but I totally lost my ship hahaha.
