Corruption Core

A Warhammer 40k conversion mod. Bring your RW colony into the 41st Millenium of the Warhammer 40k universe.

This is the base module containing concepts that all other modules use.

This mod is still WIP. There may be breaking changes during updates. As such, it is recommended to start a new game once an update drops. This will change as the mod moves towards version 1.0.

Mod development is on hold due to the birth of a child that needs most of my attention.



The Immaterium is full of deities formed by the emotions of all intelligent races. This mod introduces the two major pantheons in the 40k universe, both striving for dominance.

Imperial Cult
The most common belief system, rallying around its only true god, the God Emperor of Mankind.

The Ruinous Powers
Fuelled by base emotions there are 4 major gods.

• Khorne - God of War and Martial Prowess
  
• Nurgle - God of Pestilence, Decay and Despair
  
• Tzeentch - God of Sorcery, Knowledge and Change
  
• Slaanesh - God of Debauchery and Lust

Almost every living, feeling being in the Galaxy has a presence in the Warp, commonly called its Soul. With this mod your pawns gain a soul that may gain favour from various gods, running the risk of being corrupted by Chaos.

Whenever your pawns do, think or feel something, their emotions will resonate in the Warp.

Enjoying combat? Khorne does too.
Feeling despair? You may be fuelling Nurgle.
Doing research and betraying fellow colonists? Tzeentch approves.
Doing anything that bring's immense joy? Slaanesh is pleased.

The only way to deflect the touch of chaos is to pray to the Emperor and show virtue to your fellow humans.

Your Pawns know a handful of Prayers they may recite during work. These increase the favour of the chosen pantheon.

Of course there are also heretical prayers that will be screamed by cultists.

Being exposed to Corruption may lead to a humans body to morph. This mod includes mutations that affect stats and will become visible in their final stages.


This mod introduces two factions.

Imperium of Man
An interstellar human empire consisting of countless planets

Chaos Cults
Splinter groups of humanity that have turned their backs on the Imperium and are following the Ruinous powers.

Cults come with a special Scenario: Chaos Cult. Start with 5 armed but starving chaos cultists, right next to a poorly defended native village to plunder.


This mod supports Ogliss' 40k mods. For example if you install the Adeptus Mechanicus: Xenobiologis mods, you get access to Gork&Mork as well as the Eldar Pantheon.
