So... Interested in NEKOPALIVE speedrunning? I'll tell you, as an avid speedrunner, It's not as easy as it seems. I have poured hours and hours into this game, and I'm yet to get a perfect score (though I am the current WR holder). To what others may seem a joke, I take to heart. If you want to start speedrunning this game, you will need to fully commit yourself to it, or else, results wont surge. As a speedrunning veteran, I know many different preparation methods used in this video game. Despite there being countless methods, I found the following methods most effective:

• You must not indulge in any further socializing. Keep it at a minimum.
  
• You must drink atleast 2 litres of milk every day, no exceptions.
  
• You must be prepared for the physiological and mental drains.
  
• You must accept that NEKOPALIVE is your number one priority. Above all else. You need to prepare to pour in many, many hours into this game to be able to enter the world-wide leaderboards.

Now that you know (In my opinion) the four principles of NEKOPALIVE speedrunning, It's time to actually familiarize yourself with the art of NEKOPALIVE speedrunning. First of all, I recommend at least 3000 DPI for the most efficient speed (This is needed so you can navigate to the menu buttons quickly.) Now, for in-game tactics. Upon launching the game, the counter already begins, so you can not waste any of your time in the menus. Now, you may be asking yourself, how do I traverse the menus quickly enough? Well, the answer is Clicks Per Second. First, memorize the positions of the button for the corresponding song ( In my case, my favorite song to speedrun is Thump Thump ☆ Heart-Throbbing ☆ Flavor [トキドキ☆ココロ☆フレーバー] ) and try clicking as fast as possible, that way, as soon as the menu becomes interactable you will click it (See Advanced Tips for Method #2). The recommended minimum Clicks Per Second is 9, but the recommended Clicks per second for advanced dwellers in the community is around 14. Once you're inside the game, you're almost free of action- but wait! The speedrun counter doesn't end until you press the end button! The button is at the bottom right button of your screen, so be sure to, just like before, click as fast as you can to get the fastest click possible.

So... You've learned the basics of NEKOPALIVE speedrunning. To be frank, with the tactics I have showed you before, you can be pretty good at speedrunning, but, not the best. Here are a few but very useful tricks to use once you determined you have reachedthat point. Starting off with the first advanced trick, is an advanced method of doing the first step in your speedrun- the music button. As we discussed earlier, the normal method of pressing the button at launch is CPS (Clicks Per Second), but there are more ways to do this. For example, you can time when the button becomes visible on-screen and then memorize it, that way your hand stresses a lot less. This is also applicable to the Exit button. Another advanced trick is to play with a 144hz and fullscreen. To achieve fullscreen, set your NEKOPALIVE steam launch parameters to "-ResX=1920 -ResY=1080 -FULLSCREEN". This concludes the advanced segment, but there are many more advanced tricks you can learn by paying only 2.99$USD a month in my NEKOPALIVE speedrunning Masterclass available June 23rd.
