Hodan, the Hot Springs Sage, splashes his way into Rivals!

Hodan is a charge character! This means by holding a direction, you can charge up steam. Moves get slightly different properties with charges, and a charge increases your damage for every move.
A singular charge is usually a 1-2% increase, and a double charge (holding left/right AND down), is often 3%.
Standing in the vapour created by Sweatwhirl (FSPECIAL/NSPECIAL) will temporarily give you infinite steam and let you do any move as if it was charged while inside. It also tops off your steam, regardless, so can be useful while recovering.
USPECIAL has a charged variant while holding away from it (down). FSPECIAL and NSPECIAL have a charged variant while holding away from their direction. FAIR and DATTACK have a charged variant while holding towards their direction.
NSPECIAL can be grabbed and thrown by your DSPECIAL or USPECIAL, and DSPECIAL is jump-cancellable in vapour and has soft landings.
