About glow (shine). In SFM I used a little bit of bloom in camera settings. The glow from core's eye and BM batteries was made by After Effect. Just add adjustment layer with curves or Lumetri color (from fx library) and correct the color. Picture will be looking like yellow tone or red tone or whatever color you like. Next add eclipse mask and animate position if it video. I think, this also possible in Premiere Pro or Sony Vegas and other programs.
