That later in the game you will unlock this cool gun



Instead of generating heat every shot will reduce heat by 6 at all ranks

This gun without modifications will always shoot horizontally like any other beam type weapon, and every time you hit an enemy or building there's a chance to generate icy debris that will hover automaticly at the ship at a certain distance and reduce heat by a small percentage



if you pick up enough cubes and bring heat below 0 you will freeze the meter and apply a 5 sec no heat buff to the ship



Looking at the stats DPS isn't really high enough for it to be a frontal build and the passive won't really do much at higher difficulties, plus hitting stuff to generate cubes will be hard being a beam weapon so it's good to have it frontal until a better option gets unlocked so you can switch it to retro and still get some benefits while being able to hit stuff on the back of the ship.



But wait...

If you mount the Cyberia on the back with the Autotracker mod



The gun will aim itself and always hit a target so it will generate cubes every time



The gun now will generate so many cubes that you can even sell every cooling device or mod and still be cool, plus more enemies means more targets so basically a permanent frozen heat counter at higher difficulties.
