In order to support a lot of different game peripherals, the game uses native inputs, so if you have issues with controller detection or you can't rebind buttons ingame you probably need to disable steam input from Rocking Legend's application options, by going into controller settings in Big Picture mode:


Steam input must be Forced Off, so it won't conflict with game input recognition anymore.

The game actually supports a multitude of Xbox/PS/PC controllers (gamepad or guitar controller).

In order to play with your favorite controller you need to:

1- Start Rocking Legend and choose Free Play or Training mode.


2- Choose the playstyle Controller.


3- At this point you'll see a list of actions with the associated buttons/keys while having the controller connected. You can click on the related tab to switch between Keyboard and Gamepad / Guitar mappings.


4- Eventually click on the actions do you want to remap.


5- A dialog will appear asking you to press a button on the controller, press the button you like and it will be binded to the action you choose.


6- Press continue when you’ve done with the mappings and your bindings will be saved.


7- Select your preferred guitar model and continue.


8- Select the song you want to play, then the difficulty and click Play.


9- You should be able to play with your physical controller device now!
