How to take screenshots for Steam in Shogo (Windows)
Here's how you may take screenshots for sharing on Steam using the steam overlay on a Windows operating system.

1. Launch the game

2. Minimize the game (go back to Windows)
You may typically do this by
  • Pressing the Windows Key
  • Pressing CTRL + ALT + DEL
  • Pressing CTRL + SHIFT + ESC (to bring up task manager which is necessary in the next step.

3. Find out the process id or PID for the Shogo's game process - Client.exe

Here are a few methods of doing this:
Method
Description
Task Manager
Press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC to bring up Task Manager
  1. Click on the Applications tab
  2. Find Shogo within the list.
  3. Right Click on Shogo and select "Go to Process"

  4. This will bring you to the Shogo process running on your machine.
  5. Make note of the number in the PID column for Shogo. Continue to the step 4 if you have the PID.

  6. If you do not see a PID column then you need to make it visible by selecting View from Task Manager menu and then select the option, "Select Columns. . .". Within the new dialog window, make sure PID is checked then press the OK button.

  7. Make note of the PID number for Shogo, you will need it in the next step.
Process Explorer
If you have Process Explorer by Sysinternals then you can use it similar to task manager to find out the process id or PID for Shogo.
In the list of processes, look for the Shogo: Mobile Armor Division logo or Lithtech logo for a process named Client.exe. This is the process for your running game of Shogo.
Make note of the PID for this process, you will need it for the next step.

4. Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog window.
You may also open a Run or Run As window from either Task Manager or Process Explorer.

5. In the Run window for the Open field, enter the following:
"(your-path-to-the-steam-installation-folder)\GameOverlayUI.exe" -pid X -manuallyclearframes 0
That means, type out the path to your steam folder (where Steam is installed) and where the program executable, GameOverlayUI.exe resides all within quotation marks e.g. "C:\Program Files\Steam\GameOverlayUI.exe"

After that, type -pid X -manuallyclearframes 0
Where X is the PID for your Shogo game that you found in previous steps.

Examples
Some run as commands may come out like this using the pid 1744 seen above.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\GameOverlayUI.exe" -pid 1744 -manuallyclearframes 0
"C:\Program Files\Steam\GameOverlayUI.exe" -pid 1744 -manuallyclearframes 0
"C:\Steam\GameOverlayUI.exe" -pid 1744 -manuallyclearframes 0

You may notice the GameOverlayUI.exe process start up in either task manager or process explorer. This is expected.

6. Go back into Shogo and take some screenshots.

Misc. Tips
You must do this to get the Steam overlay working everytime you restart Shogo.

If you're having trouble finding GameOverlayUI.exe, do a Windows search for it. This all assumes that you have Steam properly installed and you're able to log into your Steam account.
When you find it, make note of the directory path and use it when you fill out the run as window.
How to take screenshots without Steam
You can take screenshots at any time and point in the game by pressing the F8 key.

These screenshots are saved within your game folder. You may find them by right clicking on Shogo: Mobile Armor Division in Steam and selecting Manage and then Browse local files.

This will bring you to where Shogo is installed on your system.
Look for files named like Screenshot0.bmp in this folder.
Every screenshot you take in-game will be saved in this folder as a Bitmap image.
