August 2025 update
Decided to play some MARDEK again recently and quickly found that I don't like mentally keeping track of the progress of each skill. So I changed the "Mastered" button into a progress bar as you can see in this screenshot.

The left and right arrows allow you to progress the bar, and once full, it changes into the familiar "Mastered" image (Now in higher quality)
The reason why there is a "back" button is in case you miscounted / misclicked / whatever and need to turn back a couple steps without having to reset all progress on the entire tracker.

For the keep eyed people, no, this image doesn't have a bug in it and is not missing the buttons on the sides for the first 4 skills shown.
Legion is a special case where they can learn skills by being attacked by them, so since this is only a one time process, they still have the old buttons that you're familiar with, just click the grey MASTERED button to indicate that they learned the related skill.

This change does come with a small overhaul on how data is stored. Potentially breaking the old versions.
If you were currently using this previous version, my apologies, but you'll have to hit the trashcan icon and reset all progress.
If the website does not show the skill list table, you are running into this issue and need to reset as well

Extra points of notice
- Starting Skills have both arrow buttons disabled so you can't turn off a starter skill.
- 3 characters have skills they cannot master (Elwyen and Zach cannot use magic attacks and Meraeador doesn't master his inventions) The skills are listed for completion's sake since they are visible in the skill list with the right items equipped, but there will be no progress bar to master these skills

June 2022 update!
Tally-ho, adventurers! I'm back with a complete rewrite of the code

What does this mean for you? Improvements all around!
There is 1 point that needs to be addressed immediately though: Because of this rewrite, old data no longer works, meaning previously mastered skills will not be carried over and reflected in this new version

The tool will still have the same look and feel as the previous version so don't worry about that part.
On to the list of new stuff you now have access to.

-No longer do you have to remember and identify the character you've selected based on their skills, with the addition of a little companion next to the list, you'll spot instantly who you're working with.

-The initial companion is Rohoph, who will change into the other characters as you select them, want to see Rohoph again, reload the page or click on the MARDEK icon on the top left.

-Restarting the story from scratch? Need to click every mastered skill to reset the tool?
NO MORE!
With the useful trashcan icon on the top right, you can reset your list instantly.
Be aware though it's irreversible and cannot be undone once you continue. (There is a popup window to prevent accidental clicks though)

-Starting skills will now automatically be listed as mastered, even after a reset. no actions from you needed

-Slightly new look to the skill table, making it easier to read I think...

-So far I've not noticed any lag, so that's nice as well

-With this rewrite it's been possible to link characters who appear in multiple chapters, Skills mastered on CH2 Mardek, Zach and Vehrn will automatically be listed as mastered on the CH3 versions! Just some nice Quality of Life stuff really

-Speaking of rewrites, no more data in the code. All data has been moved to a separate file to keep code simple and clean for those looking for this data, you can find it again in the file "data.js". No knowledge of coding needed,
If you want to add some skill I might've overlooked, it's very simple to add them. (kind of a JSON file but also not because of CORS reasons...)
Intro
Back when MARDEK was still a flash game, around 2010-2015, and when I was part of ye olden Fighunter/AloraFane community, me and another member of the community made a little webpage to keep track of all the possible skills each character could learn. I did the coding, they did the looks

How it works
Download the rar file from the link above, extract it and open the file called "MARDEK_Complete_Skill_List v2.html"

At the top, you see the 3 chapters of the game, clicking on one of those will show you all the available characters for that chapter.
After you select a character you should see something like the screenshot below

The list shows you the category where the skills belong to, the skill name, A selection of the items where you can find the skill on and lastly an clickable image to indicate if you have mastered the skill or not.
It should remember which skills you have mastered between playthroughs and closing the page
Footnotes
Please keep in mind that this list was made about 5 years prior to the game moving to Steam and might not be 100% accurate anymore with the changes that have been made with the port to Steam, but it should come close

This web page was mostly made for myself since I wanted to 100% the game, learn every skill, collect every item, and so on.
But I hope that other people find some use for it as well and can enjoy the game just that little bit more because of it

Updates
-July 5th - During my own playthrough (37 hours strong and not even close to finishing) I've noticed some inconsistencies with the skill list regarding the order that skills were listed in, So I went ahead, sorted the affected skills and characters and while I was at it, added the starting skills to the characters as well (You'll need to manually check those, but it says which ones are starting skills)
I don't have Legion yet so I'm sure just yet if he has some of his own. If he has, I'll add them later on.

When I finish the game and every character has mastered every skill possible I'll go through the list again, do some final fixes sort things according to how it's sorted in the game and update the download file here as well.

I've became painfully aware of how much the pages start to lag when you reach chapter 3 characters (I have to refresh every 5-8 skills mastered) and am looking into how to improve that code, any advice is welcome =P
Thanks to phoenixrising211 for pointing out where this lag was created, applied a fix and reuploaded the file. It should run a whole lot smoother now!

To get a hold of the new version, all you need to do is redownload the file above again, save it on the same location and that's it

Probably a bit late to the party, but the only things I'd recommend updating are:
1. Donovan has a new M. ATK reaction M+Numb 20% from his Ember Charm.
2. Elwyen and Zach are unable to use magic attacks, so while they are technically able to equip M DMG +10%/20%, they are unable to use, thus, learn, those abilities. I recommend removing them from the list.

Otherwise, it was a great resource to keep up with all of it - just finished mastering all of the abilities today!

I also just now saw a Ghast use Blood Drain, which is not mentioned in the list. I dunno if you plan to update this any further, but I could let you know if I find any more things to add?

Legion's Mechanical Body skill is missing from his passives. It's a starting skill, so it's not super important, but since other starting skills are listed it makes sense to have it be as well.

According to the changelog, 2 more Gold Ore were added to the steam version compared to the old Flash version,
"A pedlar in Aeropolis which used to carry one Silver Ore now has two Silver Ores and two Gold Ores"

The one thing I was dissapointed in chapter 3 about is that it is actually impossible to unlock every skill and weapon for every character.

It’s mostly due to the fact only 4 gold ores exist in the game.

And there are more than 4 items that require gold ore.

I might have figured out your lagging problem. You call "addListener()" inside a loop in Skill_List.js, so it adds a listener to the DOM for every skill that ever gets pulled up...and those listeners never get removed. You only need one listener, so just remove that from the loop and call it once at the beginning on the HTML page, and you shouldn't have those memory issues anymore.

Good suggestion, I can always add them to be included, but I don't think I have a way to make them mastered from opening and that'll be a manual thing to check still.

I didn't add them at first since it was only to see what you can master, but I found myself going through the list and wondering how Emela got a skill that she started out with XD

This is super helpful! Personally I found it useful to go in and add the skills folks start with, just as sort of a visual reference/so I'm not wondering why it isn't there, but it's easy enough to edit the javascript file to do that.

Also, I don't think I knew that Emela could equip shields until I saw the DMG-10% listing here, so thanks for that too! :D
