First off the Mod is located in the sandbox as The80sAndOn. Plug and Play, no need to move files and re-cache!
This mod is new start date from 1980!
Give the mod 1 day on normal speed to load and you will be good to go!

Pretty much the same as our other mod COLD WAR RELOADED, but the start date is Jan 1st 1980! all events are modified to this new date and flavor added!

Huge update! The 80sAndOn Mod received a massive overhaul. This is just a brief overview. For details please see the Unit Overhaul Mod change log.

We have fully integrated the Unit Overhaul mod utilizing the latest 3.6 version which covers units from Pre-World War II all the way to 2050. 1000's of new units and hundreds of new unit images. Everything from Railway Cannons, Headquarters, Mines, Satellites, Country specific Special Forces, Cyber Warfare, Electronic Warfare, Asymmetric Warfare, Logistics, Chemical Weapons, Hypotheticals, What ifs, and just about any unit ranging from the 1930's to the 2050's has been researched and included.

Every country has had its starting orbat researched and overhauled to about 98% accuracy according to the Military Balance 1980 edition and many other sources. Several countries with foreign deployments also have close to accurate starting locations and in many cases bases.

Every country has had its .CVP file overhauled so that starting technology and military personal is highly accurate to 1980 technology levels.

The MAPX file has also been overhauled with many countries having foreign bases. This not only enhances realism, but also greatly helps the ai when wars are declared.

In addition to the above there a hundreds of changes with leaders and events from the original legacy mod.

This mod looks and feels like the 1980s! Enjoy.
