An obvious factor affecting our trust is something that Valve has clearly mentioned in forums affects the trust factor system. In order to avoid being reported, it is often recommended that you don't grief (ruin the game by not playing / team kill / block team mates), don't cheat (obvious) as well as not being abusive in text chat or the voice chat. Furthermore, avoid smurfing even to boost you friend's rank as very good players are often reported in lower ranks such as silver.

Commends

Commends are an excellent way to show how appreciated you are in the community. People tend to commend each other for being a good teacher, being friendly or being a good leader. All 3 boxes can be ticked in the case of very useful and nice team mates. Very importantly, use voice and text communication to be friendly to your team mates and completely avoid being toxic / hateful to your team members. Also worth trying is to ask for a commend maybe halfway and at the end of your match as people will often ''commend for commend'' nice people. Each commend in competitive matchmaking will stack and help you improve your trust factor.

Invest Money into Steam

This is very useful as when buying games / DLC within the games or even simply skins will most likely boost your trust factor quite a lot as Steam, as well as Valve will consider that you're not willing to risk your account being banned as you're spending so much money on it, decreasing the probability that you'll cheat in games such as CS:GO.

Take a Break from CS:GO

Many people have often advised me and some friends that taking a break from CS and trying other games (for lots of hours) will likely boost your trust factor as Valve also takes into account the other steam games you play and for how long you play them / money spent in the games.
