How to change the default graphics adapter
By pulchr
This guide shows how to change the default graphics adapter if Gear Up picks the wrong one when launching. Changing the adapter only makes sense if you know that the other graphics card is better.

How to determine which graphics adapter the game uses
To see which adapter the game uses by default, open the Application.log file and look for a line similar to this one (should be among the top lines):

Adapter 0 "Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600" (1046)

If the game seems to be using the wrong adapter you need to change to another one by editing the configuration file.
Edit the configuration file to change the default graphics adapter
The location of the configuration file depends on where Steam is installed. The path should be something like \Steam\steamapps\common\GearUp\Application.USERNAME.config. Edit the config file in a text editor and look for an entry like the one below:

<item> <first>Render.Adapter</first> <second type="traktor.PropertyInteger"> <value>-1</value> </second> </item>

"-1" means that the default adapter is picked. Try setting the value to "0" or "1" and launch the game again. Look at the Application.log output to see if the adapter you want is picked.

When we've come further in the development this will most likely be possible to change from within the game.

I have the game on Mac and I'm not seeing the entry above that we're supposed to edit. Is this now outdated? Not finding Render.Adapter anywhere.
