Introduction

This guide includes major spoilers for We Went Back. I recommend you experience the game without help and come back here for any missed achievements.

That being said, If you become stuck with the story aspect of the game feel free to read my other guide on how to complete the main story

All Achievements can be completed in 2 runs of the game one of which can be done in 10 seconds.

Unmissable Story Achievements

Below is a table with all unmissable story achievements. They will all be earned in your first playthrough if you finish.

Achievement

Description

Wake up, sleepy head

This achievement is quite easy to get. Once you have started your game, exiting the cryochamber will earn you this achievement

Say cheese

Earned by collecting the camera at the beginning of the game. The camera can be found hanging from the ceiling down the hallway

Ghostly glow

After you have collected pictures of every moon symbol you will earn this achievement. The moon symbols can be found on the pool table in the recreation room (2nd loop), the severed hand in the one of the garden room planters (3rd loop), the petri dish on the microscope in the lab (4th loop), and the eyeball on a stick found in the control room (5th loop)

Go to the garden, sinner

After collecting all of your pictures you head back to the secret room. Picking up the vinyl record on the record player will pop this achievement

Heretic

Interacting with the vinyl record, which now resides on the cork board in the same room, will allow you to spin it eventually decoding the corresponding letter for each picture. From there you can play around with the pictures placing them into the blanks to find the password. The password is FUTILE

The blazing world

Once you have arranged the pictures properly you can walk around the station once more. keep walking till you get the achievement

One giant leap

Take your password to the console and type it in. Press enter and wait for the achievement

Possibly Missed Achievements

These next achievements you might not get during your playthrough but are easy enough to get on a dedicated run

Description

Billy Boy

This achievement is, in my opinion, the hardest to get. You must "experience all possible scares" There are a total of 5 scares to find on the station (some easier than others). First is encountered when you open the vent after the spacesuit falls off its rack (2nd loop), Next stare out the window across from the airlock for a couple seconds (3rd loop or greater), there is a cloudy cryochamber you can interact with (3rd loop or greater), getting tossed like a sack of potatoes by Billy in the recreation room(4th loop), and finally running past any of the 4 picture opportunities to instead run around the repeating room until you find a door. continue running after entering the door and you should get the scare. Note that you cannot get both Billy Boy and Stop Repeating Yourself in one playthrough.

Stop repeating yourself

To get this achievement you play through the game normally. Be sure not to miss any of the moon symbols or you will not get the achievement. I already outlined all of the moon symbols in this guide. See "ghostly glow" in the unmissable achievements category Note that you cannot get both Billy Boy and Stop Repeating Yourself in one playthrough.

After finishing the game watch the credits. They aren't that long and at the end you get the achievement

Start a new game and open up the cryotube. Go straight to the computer, type in the password (FUTILE ) and you're good to go

Got Billy Boy and Stop Repeating Yourself achievements in one playthrough.

Once I collected all pictures, got the first achievement, and red light appeared. I did not go in to solve the puzzle, but ran around, got the last scare, and the second achievement

This is to confirm "Billy Boy" and "Stop Repeating..." can be obtained in one playthrough!

I missed both in my first playthrough but got them in my 2nd.

I noticed I missed one of the symbols as the recreation room kept repeating itself. For the 2nd walkthrough I got the symbols in order (following this guide) and I didn't come across any room twice in a loop.

I remember I was not looking up so I did this in my 2nd walkthrough and got a jumpscare. Billy can scare you from the ceiling (look for open shafts in the corridors). And when you hear music because you have found all photos (you start your next loop in a red / bloody filter) just go past the vent (where you'd end up in the secret room picking up the vinyl) and before ending the loop Billy attacks you.

I would add the two jumpscare above to your guide.

Boredom Bot and Epoch, don't know if you figured it out. For "Stop Repeating Yourself" achievement. When you Start the game, get the camera, then unlock the vent. Right after unlocking the vent, grab the recorder from the pool table BEFORE moving on to the next room. I kept going to the room that continuously shows the gym, pool table and snack area. Then getting every photo after. You need to make sure no room shows repeatedly through a loop. If you get the break room, garden room, or the lab repeatedly, you missed something.

Nope. U can do it earlier. And yes, Billy Boy and Stop Repeating Yourself do not contradict each other.

I want to second the fact that you CAN get Billy Boy and Stop Repeating Yourself on the same playthrough. Just play perfectly, not missing anything until the SRYS achievement triggers, also being sure to trigger all the other scares except the failure one along the way. After the SRYS achievement triggers, then you can run past the door again and it will trigger the fail scare, so you get the Billy Boy achievement. That is what I just did.
