Azure Dev

Beskrivelse
!! At the moment, this skin only works in the before_videosurf version of Audiosurf 2 !!

The latest in-development version of whatever I'm experimenting with at the moment in my Azure skin. It might be ugly, give you an epileptic seizure, or contain something amazing that ends up never being published.

If you're interested in following this, I also post development updates on twitter.

Using this skin:
My main skin "Azure" contains all the code and files for the variant skins (Flat, Flight, White) too. The only difference is they have different "options" set. For testing purposes I change the options to whatever makes it easiest to see what I'm testing.

You can switch to your preferred style by opening the skin's .LUA file in Notepad or Notepad++[notepad-plus-plus.org]. (Audiosurf 2\skins\76561197964724048\azure dev\Azure Dev.lua) At the top of the file just after the copyright statement is a Lua table called "options". The "override" option controls which Azure variation will be used. You should see several different override examples in the comments. (two dashes turn the text after them into a comment) Note that the thing I'm working on might not work in other modes yet. (especially invert)

I really like where this is going. The visualiser buildings is definitely a nice touch. Just needs the after-update fix.

i love this skin its amazing i like how you took a old graphic idea of the sound waves and put them on posts and made almost like a echo trail or a burst effect to them over all the skin is is just stunning to me i only had one problem my game crashed 3 times before i got to play my next song i dont know if thats a mapping issue or what but keep up the amazing work i cant wait to see future versions of this skin

Ovni is UFO in french, so I think this is a french person, and he means UFO XD

I believe the texture randomly changing its position is a bug in the game's track generator and I don't think I can fix it on my end. I don't know what the "ovni" thing is

I really like the classic-type pillars you've made. They look really nice, and the echo they leave behind don't obstruct the game.
I've found only two things that I'm not sure were part of the plan. The track's texture seems to change suddenly, like what you'd see from a gif that wasn't meant to loop.
I'm not sure if that ovni thing was meant to have a square around it either.
Other than that, nothing was really off. Seems pretty fine, even.
Either way, the track gave me an idea. Would there be a way to make it pulse on the parts where archways would normally appear, maybe even make it change texture, or re-loop the texture on those moments?

Damn, I don't understand anything inside this text file! XD I couldn't find what to modify to only get the flight version ^^
I have no knowledge whatsoever about coding, so I just wait for you to release the version of Flight including in this one, or maybe if you have the time, you could just tell me how to only get the Flight from this one, sorry for being such a noob with this :/
(Right now i'm restarting the track until I get the Flight version XD )

Thank you for the answer, and thanks for the update allowing us to choose which one we prefer! I love both actually, but the "flight" version is the only one that really works in 3d, the black road sadly have broken reflections of the blocks in 3d :(
And I was not suggesting to add the green to this scheme, because i love it this way, I was wishing that I could use a different scheme altogether sometimes, one using green for exemple ^^
And indeed i am very happy to know that you are planning to release another version that randomly changes many aspects of the skin (including colors) each time you play it! :D

Thanks for the answer and for the skins!
