Dear reader, some of you might have trouble facing the fact that it's not always clear how to use cheats in "Hearts of Iron 3" (hoi3). So I write you this small and easy to understand guide so you all can enjoy the privilleges of the accessible cheats.

To start off, you first need to open your "console" to enter the cheats, you can do this by;

Pressing: "~" on your keyboard (ussualy the button next to the 1)
or
Pressing: the left "shift" + "~" at the same time

After you opend the console, you can enter the cheat code, for example, I want 2400 supplies. This means I have to use the commands "supplies" "2400" to gain that amount. So you write littarly;

supplies 2400 (and then you press "enter" to enable them)



This means you just gained 2400 supplies, and you can now enter a now command if you wish so. Get it? You can enter most of these cheats with a certain quantity. You should also know that the following cheats only are for "your" nation. I say this because there are cheats which effect every country (like instant building, which lags your game a lot!) (you can change 1200 to any number you want!)

supplies 1200
money 1200
crudeoil 1200
fuel 1200
rarematrials 1200
metal 1200
energy 1200
manpower 1200
officers 1200
nukes 1200

(Bear in mind that these cheats apply to the expansion packs, if you only got hearts of iron 3 without expansions some commands may not work, like manpower. The console may look different as well)

noneutrality - you are now no longer neutral (0%)
debug yesmen - the ai will now always do what you want (example; you can buy units from any other country for any price you want). Enter again to disable the cheat
debug fow - see the whole world, with all the units of any country. Enter again to disable the cheat
