2009-2030 Europe and Chinese join together for scientific progression, and successfully create innovative technology. This technology is unveiled as Nanotechnology, and this begins the Golden Age of humanity.

Prior to this, humanity could only dream of such scientific advancement. This advancement bought changes in power structures and centres, but the old world alliances stood strong against the crucial change. Indeed, the Golden Age brought with it a deepening of old world cultures. Such technology combined with the hands of governments led to government agencies pushing the beliefs of their people, molding the people's ideas.

2030-2039 – The Golden Age technology leads to inevitable violence. The Chinese amass their troops for Imperialism conquest of old enemies, Zealots arm themselves, and old world military industrial complexes ready their wallets. The power to convert dreams into reality is weaponized, and this weapon is held by every person. Terrorist acts are instigated all over the world, some real, some false. What is real is the aftershock. Counterterrorist operations are launched by a plethora of countries, just as brutal as the original attacks. The world shudders as its covered in gasoline, and every person holds a lighter aloft. Old world beliefs come reeling back in the moment. Half a dozen military forces are prepared for all out war, and some are ready to start it.

2040 – Janurary 22nd, the begininng of the end. The Third World War opens bombastically in the Sea of Japan, when a flotilla of advanced Chinese gunships rush to breach a US embargo. Two US destroyers are scuttled, and one aircraft carrier is heavily damaged; hundreds of US Navy personal are either injured, missing, or dead. Japan is the second country to taste Imperial Chinese firepower, who charge the US defense line in the area. The counterattack launched by the Allies sought to be as intense as the attack. China responds later with a Nanoweapon called "The Plague of Iron", and as a result, 29 million Americans die before a cure is found. The US responds with a coordinated nuclear strike, killing roughly 60 million civilians.

2041 – There are some things which never change. Russia, originally thought to be an ally, reveals treachery and attacks Europe. Multiple covert strike operations are launched to their fullest, targeting nuclear launch facilities. WIthin time, relations are similar, as just as tense, as the Cold War. America continued the war against China in this time.

2042-2045 – Eastern Europe, Germany, Belgium, Italy, and the outskirts of France are controlled by Russia. Russia delivers a final ultimatum for unconditional surrender to every surviving nation, all the while Russian atrocities to the noncombatant population leak from many governments to their people.

A peace treaty between China and America is signed, ending a fraction of combat. Control of portions of Japan to the Imperalist Chinese. America withdrawls from China to reinforce it's allies in Europe against Russia. Russia is infilitrated through the usage of the American Nanotech Singularity Gateways. Multiple assassinations are carried out, leaving most of the Russian High Command dead or captured.

In a final break from the quiet military buildup, troops are moved. American subs strike Russian coastal cities as US reinforcements flood into Western Europe. The remaining Russian High Command are cornered like a wild animal. its civilians population devastated by nanoplagues, and it's foes pouring in through breached defense lines, Russian High Command decides their response. Nuclear devastastion. Not even their former ally China will be spared. Every country quietly hunkered down with whatever modicum of defensive technology they possessed. Perhaps it was a long night. Perhaps it was short. It was certainly a quiet night. Through it, all knew darkness would cover the globe for the last time.

2045, December 1st, the Nuclear Dawn shines upon the world, most advanced technological centers are obliterated, rare remnants left of the Golden Age. An age that will never be seen again.

2046-2049 Humanity is in chaos. Through the monumentous efforts of shattered military organizations, a pale ghost of civilization returns to the world.

The warheads had eliminated the nanoplagues rampaging most of the world. It had also eliminated most advanced technonology. However, some was left. For now, it was left. This launched a scramble from the newest factions of this new world.

The Consortium, a coalition of mostly old European countries(the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Denmark, Norway, and Finland) and the United States. All seem sovreign, but ultimately they're all controlled by the Consortium's leader, Arnold H. Westfall. Five years earlier, he was the captain of the U.S.S Exeter. Now he was the captain of a new empire. His vessel still intact, he launched his operations from there. The Consortium offers it's troops most of the best military technology left available.

With the largest force on the globe, the People's Empire. According to Consortium intelligence, the Empire is led by Jiang Di Zhai, a madman who seeks to end the Third World War. What is known for sure is Jiang Di Zhai's strategic intelligence, a genius, if potentially an insane one. His armies run far, and many divisions occupy Russia.

The new Consortium and People's Empire signed a truce, a paper devoid of meaning after the Nuclear Dawn. In this new age bereft of subtly, high tech precision strikes and fast raids win the day. Resources are scarce, and Golden Age tech is worth a mountain of troops for.
