Method
The primary method I used to get this achievement was farming Depths: Tower of Trials. Personally, I farmed Tower of Trials I, as I found it has the easiest second boss. Per run, the maximum number of marks you can get is 12.

  • 1 x Stage 1
  • 1 x Stage 2
  • 2 x Stage 3 [Boss - Butterfly of Derilium]
  • 2 x Stage 4
  • 2 x Stage 5
  • 4 x Stage 6 [Boss - Slumbering Wanderer (Successor of the Claw)]

The second boss is rather difficult at first, but after enough attempts, I was defeating it nearly every time. Trick is patience, and play reactively; don't dodge for no reason. Just farming it on my own, I was able to get the 400 marks, and hence the achievement, in no time. It should take perhaps around 2 hours to farm 100 marks; so if you split it up and farm 100/day, it's not so bad. Cancer achievement, but not impossible.

I genuinely just downloaded someone's save file that had it almost done then got one. I'll grind for all the achievements, but not this one.

@KyūGreywolf † Every next tower has more marks from bosses, a least last boss. I has 4, II has 6, III has 8. Don't remember now if first boss has always 2 or more. Plus you can have random from minibosses, so tower II is for you then

From my experience - don't bother with killing both Executioners in Tower of Trials II.
Killing one is enough, and even if nothing is dropped from him, don't bother with the second one - he won't drop anything anyway.

I find farming on Tower of Trials II to be the easiest, but depend heavily on RNG. By killing both the Executioner Type Lost with 1 hit, repeating that i got around 80 - 100 in an hour or so. I think i was rather lucky, finishing the achievement in 2 days with probably ~5 hours of farming in total.

So doing this, you can gain marks on your own? I thought you had to do it with a companion :O

I think I tried the third a couple times with a random, but could never beat it for some reason. So I suppose that's the reason for going with the first. At the end of the day, I guess it doesn't matter...? All three should give the same amount of Marks, so it's just whichever you find easiest. This achievement made me absolutely sick of this game though, so I'm glad to never have to go back lol (not to mention the frggin' four playthroughs)

Third tower is easiest imo. The double Io is a joke since you can just facetank their attacks if you don't feel like kiting. The standard enemies are pushovers and the final boss is just Silva but without the second phase.

My bad I totally misread that and didn't read the Tower of Trials part at the beginning. Didn't know that Trials drop more Mark of Honors, thanks! :goodyaku:
