Sprinting on Valve Index's controllers
While you're moving, just press down the thumbstick you use to move. (default is on the left controller)
Congrats! Now you're sprinting!
How to get the best times.
To get the best times, you have to to any of these things:

  • 1. As soon as the level starts, start sprinting and don't stop

  • 2. On the new weapon levels, focus on getting bull's eyes and combos (only sprint if you can, or sprint right after you hear "task completed")

  • 3. On one particular weapon level, turn around as soon as you start and run the other way to get the would-be last targets.

  • 4. Also, in weapon mode, you can run into targets or punch them, as you're cocking your shotgun for example. (careful not to run into red targets!)

  • 5. sneaking behind an enemy is faster with crouch movement, rather than pushing the thumbstick forward just a little bit (because you might not get it to the perfect angle, where you would move fast and remain sneaky. This however completely depends on how precise you are)

(in these gifs, I managed to do it perfectly so crouching ended up being slower)

  • 6. Useful trick to go over obstacles or throw yourself really far quickly: slow-mo time, just for a moment, and launch yourself to your desired direction using any metal surface. (in case of launching forward: I recommend grabbing onto metal surface, go to "launch position" (lean your grabbing hand forward as far as you can), then toggle slow-mo briefly, pull your grabbing hand behind you, and release your grabbing hand as you do. If you hold on to it for too long, you'll either slow down or completely stop.

  • 7. If you've thrown yourself above a guard, do a slow-mo, and say "freeze!" while in slow-mo. You can change the direction you're moving while in slow-mo too, so if the guard almost noticed you from one direction, during slow-mo move behind him. And also, if you've launched yourself upwards, to the front of an enemy's field of view, if you slow-mo before he sees you, they will not notice you.

  • 8. slow-mo time does NOT slow down the timer in weapon modes.

  • 9. Just practice, learn the pattern of enemies, and keep trying to find the quickest routes.

Best of luck to you! Cheers!
