Force Upgrades, and Crystal Tier lists.
Force Powers:
1 - Force Lightning: Lightning is the best way to kill powerful enemies in the game. Save your points early so you can max this as fast as possible (Meaning you don't spend any points until you have access to it.)
2 - Force Push: After lightning I suggest maxing this. Push is great for breaking up large groups of enemies and allowing you access to targets you need to kill first. Push is also good against felucian 'bosses'.
3 - Light saber throw: Very powerful attack and is a must max against the bull rancor. In most situations however forceF lightning does its job better.
4 - Force Repulse: When you need to get rid of large groups of enemies around you. Also gives you brief immunity during the animation against tougher targets (not during charge). A max repulse can deal heavy damage to moderately powerful enemies like shocktroopers.
5 - Lightning Shield: Useful in rare circumstances when you need it, but those are usually only at the death star level.
6 - Force Grip: Not useful at all.

Force Talents:
1- Focus and Affinity : Having these maxed against kazdan paratus is crucial as he is weak to lightning and you will need to be spamming it against him.
2- Resilience: It doesn't matter how good you are, you will take damage in this game. Especially on sith lord and master levels you will need to max this to stay alive.
3- Vitality and Fortitude: You can max these evenly at the same time to increase your chances of staying alive through the missions. This build we're going for IS cheese. Its all about using lightning and running to stay alive. This may sound funny to you if you've never played on sith master before.
4- Defence Mastery: A lot of the times you will be taking a lot of blaster damage while going about your business. Maxing this will greatly reduce that damage and also weed out some of the weaker units and restore health.
5- Saber Mastery: Upgrade this next so you can start using combos more effectively against tougher units.
6- Combo Mastery: Less force usage is always good. This is especially useful for dashing blast and dashing shock. If you're trying to speed run the game i recommend maxing this before force focus so you can get through levels faster.
7- Battle Meditation: Definitely not a bad talent for certain strategies, but for my play style its not needed, and so I have to deem that its not required to beat the game effectively.

Force Combos:
You will definitely have more than enough combo points to max everything before the end of the game. So i will only list the important ones to take.
- Sith Flurry (Don't forget to use this especially against blocking targets.)
- Sith Saber Flurry
- Lightning Grenade/Bomb (Kazdan paratus, Jumpers)
- Arial Strike
- Saber Sling
- Dashing Blast
- Dashing Strike
- Dashing Shock
- Sith Slash
- Sith Saber Smash
- Saber Slam
- Aerial Ambush
- Aerial Assault
- Aerial Shock

Power crystals:
1. Sigil - Hands down the best crystal as all lightning attacks will do more damage which is perfect as lightning is our best weapon in this game. Unfortunately you get this a bit late in the game. [ Holocron #1 on Imperial Raxus Prime ]

2. Ruusan - The crystal you will use for most of the game; it reduces the cost of force powers such as, you guessed it, lightning. [ Holocron #1 on Cloud City ]

3. Rubat - The first crystal you unlock if you're paying attention at all to holocrons. Increases lightsaber damage at all times. Excellent crystal until you get Ruusan. [ Holocron #10 on Tie Fighter Factory ]

4. Katak - This one is the best crystal out of the 'chance' crystals. They all suck and rarely activate, katak is the only one that actually provides some use when activated, as the others are unreliable or only useful in certain situations which the stars must align for to be useful. Just stick to the top 3 and you wont regret it. [ Holocron #1 on Death Star ]
How to beat the game
How to Beat the Game: I'm only really going to list fights that are actually hard or how to beat units that take some level of skill to beat. If I don't include something and you want to know how to deal with it I'm happy to reply to your questions.

How to beat Purge Troopers Easily - Dashing shock into an aerial assault saber slam, then lightning them till they die. Because this combo takes a while to perform first eliminate jumpers and snipers while avoiding their rockets with dashes. OR, you can try to take them out while you have cover.

How to beat Kota: Ruthless agression. When he uses his force bubble, use force push to break it. Easy peasy fight.

How to Beat Kazdan Paratus - Force lightning is your best friend in this fight. Don't try to win with lightsaber skills, you will lose due to the games buggyness even if you use the right sith combos. Occasionally you can try to force grab him and if it works lightning him and slam him into the ground quickly for a lightning grenade damage. When hes on the ground you can keep shocking him. When he summons the junk guy simple lightning does wonders again. Just focus on dodging everything while you recharge your force energy. When he climbs walls to slam down, simply jump. When he climbs walls to throw stuff at you. Position yourself at a distance in front of him; you can grab the stuff he throws at you mid air and you can throw them right back at him. Be patient and you will come out on top easily. Also, if he gets too close to you, feel free to simply block his attacks, he will often come at you with a flurry of lightsaber attacks, then pause, and attack you again (breaking your block.). The key to avoid damage is to unblock, and re-block during the pause before he hits you with the final flurry.

How to beat Shaak Ti: Extremely easy fight, you can pretty much have your way with her. Lightning grenade is probably the best damage for the fight. You can also use saber slam (the lightning) to great effect. Also regular lightning works fine but not the fastest in this fight. Great combo is: Strike, Lightning, Strike, Lightning (Saber slam combo), force grip (when shes on the ground), lightning grenade.

Shadow guard: Sith flurry and regular force combos work fine. Not a hard fight if you dodge and block when he attacks. You can try to knock him down with repulse and hit him when hes down. Not particularly difficult fight if you respect their counter attacks.

Captain Ozzik Sturn: Use all your energy with lightning behind his back, when you run out just jump in the air for an aerial slam combo while your energy recharges. Rinse and repeat. Easy Peasy. Don't forget to dash and jump to avoid his attacks.

Bull Rancor: This fight is TOUGH. But not because of the rancor, more so the sneaky sith that keeps stabbing you in the back when you're trying to kill it (on higher difficulties she is a pain). The best thing to do is clear the area with repulses so you don't get caught on any bones at the start. Then use the lock on feature to lock onto the rancor. Then it will charge at you, and when it gets close you can dash to the side (while locked on) to easily avoid all damage. Immediately jump away while you can and charge up a full damage saber throw. Maris will probably come out now and your best bet is to do a minor saber throw at her, or try to force grip her. If you can, lightning the rancor while maris is inbetween the two of you and she will go away. Lightning is always best to use if you're stuck in close quaters with the rancor as it wont be able to hit you. Immediately get distance from it after shocking it. Rinse and repeat.

Maris: Maris herself is easy peasy. Force repulse while shes invisible and lightning her when shes down. Any combo works fine on her while you can see her. Just keep force repulsing and she can't fight back.

Proxy: Easier than the actual bosses. The only difficult fight is darth maul. To beat him you will just need to mix in saber combos to try and knock him down, or use repulse. Regular force powers and saber attacks dont do well against him. When you're close he will attack you with a HUGE combo that can wipe out your entire health if it gets you. Luckily you can simply block the entire thing, just be patient. After you block it all you get a free pass to wreck him. You can also occasionally grab him and lightning grenade for good damage.

Star Destroyer: Jump + Lightning to kill tie fighters. On higher difficulties this 'boss' will take FOREVER. You MUST kill all tie fighters in one round. To do this you will need to go to the left side of the platform. Time your jump+lightning to hit each tie fighter as it passes. If you miss you will need to waste more time trying to hit it again. When gripping the star destroyer don't listen to the inputs sometimes as the game is buggy. You will want the destroyer with the nose facing you and evened out in the sky. You can keep moving the sticks to keep it in the green zone, sometimes it will tell you to tilt the stick down, BUT DO NOT. Use your eyes on the destroyer, not on the input. Keep pulling it down once kota tells you and only let go when the tie fighters are about to hit you. At that point you will want to do what I mentioned earlier, to kill them all in one rotation. Rinse and repeat.

Darth Vader 1: A surprisingly easy fight. At the first stage you will just use force combos that use lightning for damage. Lightning works ok too even if it doesn't look like hes reacting to it. Blocking his saber attacks work just fine, you will just have to dash his force pushes. Saber throw also does good damage. At the second stage all you have to do is throw stuff at him before he throws stuff at you. When you hit him you can jump to him and do a sith slam combo for good damage. He will then grab you, break out and dash to safety. If you feel like you can't grab something to throw at him fast enough simply hit him with lightning or try to grab him yourself, you wont be able to grip him but he will drop what he was grabbing. At the third phase of the fight he's easier than darth maul. Just don't be reckless, block and dodge when you need to.

Darth Vader 2: If you go for the bad ending you will have to fight him again. It's an easy fight and you'll be used to boss fights like this by now and wreck him. If you're struggling just keep in mind you can sometimes force grip him.

Emperor: This fight is TUFF on sith lord/master. If you try to lightning him, he will lightning your ass back and you will die first. No other force powers work on him. Saber attacks do decent damage but he will lightning shield and if you get caught in it your ass is taking DAMAGE. He has 3 attack patterns. The first is the lightning strikes, to beat it you just have to time your blocks and it will return the damage back to him, easy pattern. The next is his dash and zap attack pattern, use lightning shield and force combos and block his lightning when he zaps you. The other pattern he will grip some canisters with lightning and try to grenade you. Just stand behind the consoles to block them coming at you, easy. Occasionally some shadow guards will come to fight you, defeat them like you normally would for some health restoration. The big issue with this fight he doesn't care that you're hitting him, he will zap you and you'll take it. It's all about patience and timing your blocks.

a full lightning shield makes the emperor very easy. Activate it the whole way and just stand near enough to him and he'll get hurt - when safe add in some saber attacks. Repeat this till his death.

Nice informative guide with the exception of use of Force Grip and Lightning Bomb. On master difficulty its most important. Basically they have Guns and you Have a Sword so chucking a lightning infused trash can bomb from a far seems to be smarter than running up to them getting shot., alot. But the rest is actually great guide.

2 things. 1: this guide was super helpful!!! awesome. 2nd: when you're talking about how to beat the Bull Rancor? Yeah, Maris isn't a sith. Just some random Bitch who thought using the dark side would make her invulnerable and more powerful. And it didnt even do that. just made her annoying

The reason I put it as not useful is because most strong enemies resist force grip and you dont really need force grip to kill weaker ones. Lightning grenade is about as useful as the skill gets in my opinion. I'm not sure what difficult you played on but this guide was intended for those trying to beat the game on the highest difficulty. I've beaten the game on ps3 twice on medium difficulties and when I got the game on steam i beat it once on sith lord and once again on master.

Force grip isn't useful for you? Well in my experience that's what I used the most. Against everything that could be picked up or was standing near a throwable object, with lightning grenade it makes large groups of enemies a piece of cake.
I only used Lightning shield on Maris because you're trapped in a relatively small area with her and it's hard to determine where and when she'll strike.

I beat the game twice and didn't know some of these things like how you can destroy Kota's bubble or force repulse Maris (I did something similar that worked which was to jump up and slam on the ground which is also an aoe attack)
