To begin with, you should realize that you do not even need to use your spirit to strengthen it. Since this section focuses on cheaper methods, you should probably do so.

The first thing you want to do is go acquire a cheap weapon, preferably one that is the same as your spirit. Go do a good amount of shadow missions. The enemies within them drop a good amount of things that you can feed your spirits. Ideal missions for this include these: Defeat the Shadow Wizard, Provocation, Defeat Fomor Commander I or II, and Tailteann Defensive Battle. All of those missions may be done in Tailteann. Unless you do them on low difficulties or have immense strength, it is best to do these missions in a party, and try to keep them from taking the drops. Unlike the other missions, Defeat the Fomor Commander can be done alone without much of a problem.

Now that you have (hopefully) gotten a bunch of items to feed over, equip your spirit and wait for it to get hungry. The best time to feed them is just as they become unhappy, which can be checked by clicking "Give Item" followed by "Cancel", this will show you their mood. Why feed them when they are unhappy, when you can feed them at any time? Because when they are barely getting into being unhappy, they get the most out of any item you feed them.

The only other things to say here, are that if you can afford it, using your spirit weapon while hunting items does help make their mood/hunger level go down so you can feed them more, and you may want to use some of the gold you gain from these missions to use some of the methods discussed in the more expensive section.

If you have a nice wallet weighing you down and don't mind making it a little lighter, know how to shop well, have some gold to burn, or are dedicated to your spirit weapon, this is your section.

The fastest method to making your spirit attain power is to simply feed them gems. Diamonds are the best gem to feed your weapon, but keep in mind finding a diamond bigger than 4cm is brutally difficult outside of events. As for other gems, every spirit weapon has a specific gem they like best. Go ahead and find out which gem is best for you in the table below.


Found it? Great. Now then, let's move on. Go to your server's marketing channel, and search around for that gem, or any gem for that matter. Although, if you see your gem, buy it before any other gems unless the price is starting to get you. While doing so it is a nice idea to have your spirit weapon equipped so they get hungrier so they can devour these gems. Unlike cheap items, gems move your spirit an entire hunger stage and therefore will take them out of maximum food efficiency quite quickly.

The best time to feed a spirit is when they barely have reached the "Unhappy" stage. This can be checked by clicking "Give Item" followed by "Cancel", this will cause a message saying something along the lines of "(The spirit appears to be unhappy.)". If you have that message, and the spirits stats have NOT been reduced, feed them a gem. If you waited too long and their stats have been reduced, go buy a few cheap items and feed them to the spirit until he/she regains her normal stats.
