This is DayZ, the game were starvation is just as much of a problem as Bandits as you will soon find out. DayZ is a 'zombie survival simulator' that is quite challenging especially when your just starting out. When you first get into a game you probably wont know what to do so this guide is going to tell you exactly that!

1. You are going to want to find your self a low-pop server, around ten players.

2. Now your in, find the nearest town/village to find supplies.

3. Once your at the town/village your going to want to find some drinks, food, medical supplies (first aid kits, saline bag, IV start kit, blood transfusion kit etc), weapons (this could be any thing from a hammer to a sniper), any thing that you may need later on such as a compass or clothes, and last of all a bag to carry it all.

4. Now you have got your kit sorted its time to find some military loot and survive against starvation, humans and zombies!

This section is going to cover the essential kit your going to need to survive on Chernarus.

In this section were going to cover things not to do or avoid in DayZ.
Chernarus is a dangerous place and not everyone is friendly..or trustworthy. You should be cautious of other humans even if they sound friendly.

• Avoid going across airstrips when there are alot of people on the server, try to find a way to get across such as a tree line.
  
• Avoid teaming up with other players you don't know outside of DayZ. They could backstab you or hold you up if you have valuable gear.

• Don't kill zombies unless you have to because they could hit you and cause you too bleed, or you could get infected.

• Avoid wasting ammo as if is quite rare and very useful.

• Never kill another player unless he is threatening you or unless you have to.

Hopefully this section has given you an idea on what to avoid doing in DayZ.

These tips are going to help you alot throughout your short holiday on Chernarus, so listen to make the most out of your stay!
1. You aren't Rambo, you cant just go around slaying zombies and killing noobs, thats not how it works. Avoid zombies at all costs and humans if you can.
2. Be cautious, this means be aware that there could be someone in that building in front of you, or there could be someone watching you. Always stay alert.
3.Try and walk along side a road/path, (this is really only for high-pop servers) because then you can take cover or hide if anyone is coming down the same road. Also you stand out less so it will be harder for other survivors to spot you.
4.Conserve ammo, ammo is very usefull and it can come in handy when your trapped in a building with only one way out.
5.Always pick up magazines or rounds/shells, because you could find a weapon that takes that ammo or fits that mag.
6.Take all items that could come in use later on, you never know when you might need a spare battery or medical item that you don't know what to do with it. If you have the space then theres no harm in taking it! You can always drop them if you find something better!
7.And last of all, don't trust anyone you don't know, people may sound all nice and friendly but that could just be a lie too make you follow them. This doesn't mean dont talk to them and run or shoot them, it just means always keep an eye on them and don't let your guard down.
