Union Pacific GTEL 1st generation

This is the 1st gen of GTEL locomotives used by Union Pacific GTEL standing for Gas turbine electric. Developed by GE, these locomotives were built for the UP and were used to haul enormous freight trains over Sherman hill. There were 3 generations of GTEL's, the 1st gen, the 2nd gen with a 'Veranda' roof, and the final 3rd gen, the Big blow.

I hope to model every single generation of GTEL into this game, this one is just a start. functioning as a freight train. this is the first custom freight train to pull my all new set of 1930-1960's freight car assets, which is why the filesize is so large, as there are 17 seperate freight cars included.

This locomotive was a collaborative effort between me and Astro. Astro made the streamliner body initially, which i modified and fixed extensively, I made the trucks and all the other locomotive parts. The texture work is done exclusively by me.
