That happened on Xbox when I was playing 2 player. He died and didn't respawn and the enemies were magnatized to the side of the screen. Pretty odd but sometimes helpful bug.

Guys I tell you what happened! I played a Christmas Radio station, and it stopped playing music about 2:30 min. I died about at 5:00 min, and i didnt respawn.
