This mod adds South Vietnam, led by Ngo Dinh Diem, to the game! Run through the jungle and into the fire with everyone's favorite Southeast Asian Cold War-era US satellite state, led by their favorite unfortunate son! Requires Brave New World.

South Vietnam - Ngo Dinh Diem

Military Assistance Command: Trade Routes to declared Friends or allied City-States passively provide Production towards military units in the city of origin. Defensive Pacts with South Vietnam give both players +1 World Congress Delegate.

Striped Tiger: Unique Paratrooper for South Vietnam. The Striped Tiger ignores terrain costs when moving, can see further than the unit it replaces, and reveals Invisible units within its line of sight.

Strategic Hamlet: The South Vietnamese unique building, replacing the Arsenal. The Strategic Hamlet does not require a Castle to be built, but costs slightly more to produce and provides much less Strength and HP to the city on its own. However, it does increase the city's Strength and HP per each Farm within 3 tiles, and enemy units that end their turn on a Trading Post within city borders will take slight attrition damage.




Includes mod support for R.E.D., JFDLC, UCI, and more.

A lot of their bonuses are quite situational, but I still had a lot of fun playing as them. The UU in particular is absolutely fantastic. As Mele mentioned, it does just display code when you hover over a Striped Tiger, but other than that, I found no issues.

Hi! I love this mod! Just one quibble, the mouseover info for the Striped Tiger is raw code, and I'm too much of a perfectionist. I know it might be a bit too much to ask to update the mod for just this one thing, but if you could that would be awesome! Your decision though.
