Sniper Rifle Scope Zoom Overlay

Popis
NOTE: I haven't been bothered to add a lot of preview pictures (yet).

If you want to use the Sniper Rifle scope zoom overlay for Source Filmmaker, you may have noticed that you only get a quarter of the scope zoom overlay, and also that it's a lot more stretched-out than you'd like. This workshop submission has some custom files that get around both of those issues.

"scope_sfm" is for use as an overlay on the shot, and is basically the DirectX 8 version of the scope zoom.
"scope_sfm_refract" is for use as a material overlay effect (not a shot overlay). This looks nicer than "scope_sfm", and is basically the DirectX 9 version of the zoom scope, but Source Filmmaker crashes if you set this directly as a shot overlay, so this is only supported as a material overlay.

To correctly use a material overlay in Source Filmmaker:
- Be in/Switch to the Clip Editor.
- Scroll down to the "Overlay" > "Effects" track at the bottom of the timeline. (Please be aware that it's possible to delete this, and also to temporarily minimize the "Overlay" group thing, so if you can't find it, it's not necessarily because that Source Filmmaker is broken.)
- Right-click the "Effects" track, and choose "Add Clip to Track". (Much like you'd do to add sounds to the sound tracks.)
- Choose "Material Overlay Effect", and click "OK" to add it to the "Effects" track.
- Right-click the new material overlay effect clip, and choose "Show in Element Viewer".
- In the Element Viewer, click on the file-browsing "three dots" symbol to the right of the empty area to the right of "material" in the list.
- Find the VMT material file that you want to use as a material overlay ("hud\scope_sfm_refract.vmt"), select it, and click "Open".
- Optionally move the material overlay effect clip back and/or forth in the timeline and/or make it longer or shorter, if you don't want it to start at the playhead's (time cursor's) current location and end 1 second after that.

Credit:
VALVe, for making the things that I used to make this, as well as make Source Filmmaker itself.
Nem, for making VTFEdit, which I used to view VALVe's files that I used to make this.
Me, for "editing" the textures (and refining the materials) to be used in Source Filmmaker.
Credit is not required if you use this.

Includes:
hud\scope_sfm.vmt
hud\scope_sfm_refract.vmt
hud\scope_sfm.vtf
hud\scope_sfm_normal.vtf
hud\scope_sfm_opaque.vtf

@sambowimbo
You're using the default scope overlay included with Source Filmmaker, instead of the one in this workshop submission. See the description for how to use it.

@Mystic Monkey
Only if you use it as a shot overlay. The description explains how to use it as a material overlay instead.

Hello, it´s possible to edit the colour of the circle making it less yellow or change the size of the circle of the zoom? Thank you.

A simple solution to export image with scope. Export it in Movie, select "Image Sequence" on Export, and render only one frame in the "Duration". Now you have a picture with the overlay
