Introduction

This guide was made with the intention to provide guidelines on how to unlock all available achievements for Fox n Forest. Most achievements are earned via collecting secrets and upgrading your loadout. The game has one missable achievement called Winners don’t use potions that will require the player to restart the game if the criteria is not fulfilled.

After you have finished the game you can still collect all other achievements except the aforementioned Winners don’t use potions.

I was initially going to make my own guide on how to find the hidden collectables spread throughout the game but I later found out that the developers have already made their own official walkthrough with images. I will be referring to their walkthrough instead of listing the locations of the collectables.

Do I still have your attention? Alright then, lets us begin with our achievement hunting journey!

Flying High
Flying High - Do a Patty Launch.
Each time you are about to finish a level you'll need to perform a "Patty Launch". To get the achievement simply finish level 1:1 - Revolving River.

Treasure Hunter
Treasure Hunter - Loot 10 treasure chests.
Self-explanatory. There are plenty of treasure chests scattered around in each level so finding 10 won't be a problem.

Outfoxed

Outfoxed - Finish a boss without using help.

Each time you die during a boss fight the game will ask you if you want help. Simply ignore it by pressing "no thanks" (backspace on keyboard) and retry the boss. The boss in 3:3 is by far the easiest one, but I would still suggest to go for the achievement as soon as possible since you won't be able to replay boss fights until you have finished the game and collected all magical seeds.

Shooting Star
Shooting Star - Defeat 3 enemies with a Stomp Attack.
First, unlock the stomp attack which cost 900 coins and then simply kill 3 enemies with it. You don't have to kill 3 enemies in one stomp attack to get the achievement.

Super Fox

Super Fox - Finish a level without getting hurt.

Best map to do this one would either be 1:1 - Revolving River or 2:2 - Tricky Treetops. Best course of action is to kill all enemies and avoid putting yourself in dangerous situations. If you take damage you have to quit to the world map and restart the level.

Have Mercy

Have mercy - Finish a stage without defeating a single enemy.

Again, the best level to do this one is 1:1. There are certain points in 1:1 where you have to tank damage from the enemies that look like giant acorns since you can't path around them. You can collect health pickups hidden in the grass and going for this achievement with health upgrades is recommended but not mandatory.

Furthermore, avoid using your season switch ability as much as possible since eels can spawn above ice in winter and fall to their death. Also avoid letting the walking tree enemy walk on the ice since they can't get up and will drown when you switch to summer. If an enemy dies it is best to quit to the world map and restart the level.

Greedy Fox

Greedy Fox - Gather 9.999 coins.

To get the achievement you need to have 9.999 coins on you at once, which means you can't spend any coins until the counter in the upper right corner reaches 9999. You can go about this in 2 ways.

1. Replay the first level (1:1 - Revolving River) early on. Without any magical arrow upgrades you can still get about 1100 coins in the first level by finding hidden treasure chests and killing as many enemies as possible.

2. When you have finished the game and collected all the magical seeds you are allowed to replay bonus levels which are short and full of gold coins.

Remember to double jump before landing on the patty launch at the end of each level to get more coin. If you have the stomp attack it can be used to get the maximum reward (200) from the patty launch. This is useful if you are planning to unlock all items and upgrades which have total cost of 24300 coins.

Long Live The Fox

Long live the Fox - Buy all hearts.

Buying hearts only requires coins. You can buy heart upgrades from the upgrade booth (mushroom building) in the Forest Plaza. A total of 15000 coins is needed to buy all heart upgrades. For tips on how to collect coins easy and fast see Greedy Fox.

In total there are 12 grindstones and you need to spend 3600 coins if you wish to fully upgrade your bayonet. Note that you don't actually "spend" grindstones, you just need to collect a certain amount before you can buy the upgrade.

The total price of a fully upgraded mana bar is 3000 coins and 6 mana ores. Just like grindstones, you don't "spend" mana ores, you need to collect a certain amount before you can upgrade it to the next tier.

Message In A Bottle

Message in a bottle - Find all (4) empty bottles in the game.

There are 4 bottles in total. Look in the official walkthrough if you need help finding them. After you have collected your last bottle you need to finish the level for the achievement to appear.

Bonus Level

Bonus Level - Finish all (4) Bonus Levels.

Each season has its own bonus level but before you can play it you must defeat the boss and collect all magical seeds found in that season. If you are having trouble finding the magical seeds you can use the official guide made by the developers.

Winners Don't Use Potions

Winners don’t use potions - Finish the game without using a single potion.

Like the description says you need finish the game without using a single potion and is the only missable achievement that requires you to start a new game if you don't fulfill the criteria. The empty bottles that you collect throughout the game are used to fill up on potions in the magic shop in the Forest Plaza. By keeping your bottles empty, there is no risk of you consuming a potion by mistake so you can play through the game normally like if there were no potions to begin with.

Fun fact: Winners don’t use potions is a reference to an anti-drug slogan that used to appear on old arcade machines.

Victory!

Victory! - Finish the game.
Congrats! You did it! Don't forget to revisit the Forest Plaza.

Conclusion
And that, as they say, is that.

Personally I did "Have Mercy" in 2-2, as there is no chance of an enemy accidentally killing itself there. And it's super easy to evade everything.
