What to do before during and after a crash
By Core Emperor
Things to do before a crash

Brace for impact try to angle the non vital part of your ship to the ground as in thrusters, decor rooms, empty hangers, etc things. You should never get destroyed are reactors, hangers that have ship’s batteries, refineries, and assemblers. You also want to keep the bridge alive because that is most likely where you're going to be during the crash. Important things you want to keep alive are oxygen tanks and life support, like your spawn/medbay.

Things to do to prep for a crash

Have an emergency kit in your ship. Make a plan what to destroy during a crash. Add parachutes to ships to slow down ships. From the planets gravity this might not be possible on the alien planet but will save your ship on most planets if deployed on time if it is a big ship then deploy the parachutes the highest you can to save your ship on other tiny ships you can slow it down around 2k feet 3k something like that just try not to destroy your ship another system. I think you should have some escape pods maybe add some weapons and tools in some and use those as an escape if your ship was never intended for gravitational entry in these pods try to stock it up with some supplies metal and other things possibly a mini-ship refinery and survival kit inside these pods, during a multiplayer battle could also trick your enemy into thinking you bailed out while you're still piloting your ship. Also, try to make an ejection system for your cargo as this might save those hard earned items you got along with other things I mentioned. You could save some good stuff and yourself with the escape pods.

What to do after a crash

See if reactors batteries refineries or assemblers and h02 generators survived as they are some of the most important systems other than storage as that will be life or death, because not having some mats for the first few hours or minutes after crashing means you could suffocate, if cargo did not survive because most likely cargo is where your gonna store ice. You destroyed your ship and I know what you're saying “what am i gonna do? I’m stuck on a planet because I had no plan.” Learn from mistakes make a better ship add defences as in turrets, extra layers of hull. Parachutes more systems spread around the ship. Maybe use the pod if you made one and collect your items if they survived. There are 2 things you can do at this moment you can live in the ship or build a tiny base nearby here’s what you would/should do when living in ship you should repair it slowly and get it ready to fly around the planet if minimal damage was sustained if true then repair this ship then get exit the planet if major damage was sustained prep the grinder for scraping your current ship and making a ship that could save you just one. That can you and it get out of orbit and go to a different planet to get help/go back to base if going to base is an option unless you made your ship your base, you can choose to make a base on the planet that supports wind turbines if the planet has no atmosphere make some solar panels, or some reactors. Make a small room. If there is no atmosphere in this room, include an air vent, oxygen tank and a h02 generator. unless your ship has some places that are still airtight. But I recommend to just make a room anyway because enemies can attack after a crash, so make a tiny base after a crash preferably underground so you have some protection. And put an oxygen farm it must!! be outside. A helpful tip is an air vent the will be green when the room it sealed, yellow when there is a hole/not sealed, red when no power/offline, and black if it is no longer functional.

I am sorry, but I can't recommend this guide as a guide. I cant read this. It has too many run on sentences. I barely read half of it, because it is so hard to read.

very good we had a crash recently (noone told me large parachute hatches need more parachutes to work) and this is a very good guide for that since its litterally just what we did (well not the prep part)

the bottom of my ship (salvaged minelayer) is heavily armored, and moon is a cruel bitch. i just kamikazes the moon facing my ship bottom first, not a single heavy armor damaged, large container destroyed tho, empty, but destroyed

Try and add some commas and periods in there, would help a ton for other readers.
Otherwise this is very helpful

Your grammar is a little bad, aside from that this will be helpful for new players!
