Nobody's actively played xKmod since 2012. The film tweaks are cool for maybe a movie at best? Nothing about any of this is useful in ranked matches sorry to say. And this config is huge compared to a stock config yet no fps differences or noticeable difference.

If you rebinded the cfg to play with your controls, you cant use snd_restart and color tweaks; you must set the file to read only to prevent bo.exe to rewrite the cfg also

In 2010 Cactus, Ezre, some guy from Extreme Soldier's clan from cod4, and some Euro dude DrunkZZ3 i think, dug deep and came up with all this. Eventually only led by three guys we shared ideas and findings on BashandSlash forums in an attempt to optimize the game. We initially felt we were doing a service to the community in the name of performance optimization when in reality the problem is much deeper and has consequences.

So, when I say its not in the game it's junk, its not in the game.

4). The May 2011 update (although it could have been in April 2011..i can't remember) effectively removed the "toggle" and "execute" function within the console. This basically "turned off" many commands that could be "turned on" with this function. Their were many. Too many to test and cheat protect so, this was the next and albeit smartest option. Example:

Binding KP_ARROW to "exec GRID config" with commands that could turn off sunlight, tweak exposure, adjust bloom, and turn on film tweaks, adjust fovscale, gun model location, killfeed colors- All could be activated from dormant, default server config values to different client side values. It had to be done every time a new map was loaded. Hence the patch

My two ** mean the following:

3). The game has an odd way of dealing with commands that are not set to values within range. In some instances say for example the command: r_skyColorTemp if set outside its 1250-12000 range the game will adjust your value to the closest integer. Say I set it to "0" the game will use 1250 and apply its effects turning the sky orange or deep blue if you chose 13000. In other commands if not the correct value the game defaults back to the appropriate default value. This could be due to various reasons not explained here. So many commands will have no effect while some will have last effects that cannot be changed.

This config and others like it are absolute garbage. Whether you created this or are pawning if off as "yours"-commands found off some ancient archived web page of old quake engine games. Regardless, it's full of junk that does nothing. Configs like this are not "special" though they appear to be to the average player. Hence the disclaimer.
