Tried the config. Nothing really different or special which makes me think this guy below me is probably on to something.
So, when I say its not in the game it's junk, its not in the game.
Binding KP_ARROW to "exec GRID config" with commands that could turn off sunlight, tweak exposure, adjust bloom, and turn on film tweaks, adjust fovscale, gun model location, killfeed colors- All could be activated from dormant, default server config values to different client side values. It had to be done every time a new map was loaded. Hence the patch
3). The game has an odd way of dealing with commands that are not set to values within range. In some instances say for example the command: r_skyColorTemp if set outside its 1250-12000 range the game will adjust your value to the closest integer. Say I set it to "0" the game will use 1250 and apply its effects turning the sky orange or deep blue if you chose 13000. In other commands if not the correct value the game defaults back to the appropriate default value. This could be due to various reasons not explained here. So many commands will have no effect while some will have last effects that cannot be changed.
This config and others like it are absolute garbage. Whether you created this or are pawning if off as "yours"-commands found off some ancient archived web page of old quake engine games. Regardless, it's full of junk that does nothing. Configs like this are not "special" though they appear to be to the average player. Hence the disclaimer.
Because of character limits I cannot post all that are fake or junk commands
I can say this many:
1). Do nothing because they are not within the game exe file and are not loaded by client exe or server config 2). are from old quake games and alike that use Open GL instead of directx; black ops uses DirectX only 3). Are set to values that are outside defined ranges** 4). Are cheat protected 5). Require functionality that no longer works since the May 2011 update**
