Can't launch at Win 7/8

By courso

1. Install the game with steam.
2. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Port Royale 2
3. Right-click PR2.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility.
4. Tick "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
5. Choose Windows 98/ME -> Apply -> OK

Run the game.

no need more windows98/me, just set 4 or 8 cores for game.

I can´t get it started on my Win 10. But the CD Port Royale was okay, even though I had some troubles while exiting game.

Nothing worked for me. The Port Royal series is the only one I can't make work on my systems. The readme told me they couldn't test for all CPU sets, so I assume the CPus in my devices are successors of those untested sets.

I really played with every storage and compatibility setting possible. From the screenshots Port Royal looks like Patrizier so I guess I will just play Patrizier instead. At least the 70 cents or so didn't hurt too much xD

After applying this compatibility setting, only the Ascaron logo graphic works. The game still doen't launch.

Compatibility is not an option for those Properties. Only for Config
