I was kinda dismayed on hearing that the spawn colours are random, and not generated with an intent - and it kinda bugged me, keeping me wondering if such a geat could be achieved using one base mob type.

I set about attempted to write a dependency mod that would be capable of splitting the mamuffalo into sub-species. Unfortunately, the original mob kept leeching through,(duplicate colour spawns, skewing the results, so a dependency mod was not possible) so I went instead with a completely separate re-work instead.

EDITED - Clarification. I wrote the original post early in the morning, not all my synapses were firing so it came out squiff.

Nope the colors are just cosmetic. They randomly generate colors. And they can spawn in many biomes.

I am curious as to where these spawn. The different colours would imply while ones found in colder regions, the dark ones in hotter regions and the others in temperate?

EDIT - Sadly, they do not.

I loved this old mod! Thanks for bringing it back.

1.4 unstable is here! I'll be working on my mods over the week. I am back :P

I have found no bugs in the day of testing I have done.

Errors may happen as other mods are updated. And features for new version ie.. new coding may not be there as the coding changes can be missed.

Please let me know if you find core coding that needs updating in my mod and I'll put it in!

I've been looking for it everywhere! :D
