  • Start the game in offline mode by launching Steam in offline mode or disconnecting your internet connection after launching the game. This helps give the game an easier to read RAM usage as it's not trying to load player ghosts, messages and blood stains
  • Open up your Task Manager and tick the 'Always on top' checkbox under Options
  • Resize the window and position it in a way so that you can play the game and check its RAM usage simultaneously (borderless window mode is recommended)
Farming
Start by spamming the Belfry Sol Approach Bonfire and watching the game's RAM usage

You'll want to look out for increases of about 10 MB. When that happens the game has loaded in the Mad Warrior Phantom and you can head up the ladder to kill it

Note that you have to rest at the bonfire at least once (Aged Feather recommended) after killing the Phantom as it won't respawn otherwise. It is also not affected by the mechanic that disables enemy spawns after they have been killed a set number of times, so there's no need to use Bonfire Ascetics

Rinse and repeat until you have enough kills

Just got Hidden Weapon. Took me 8 hours to get 9 kills yesterday normal way, with this trick I've farmed the rest in about 30 minutes, thank you m8

The people in the Bell Towers are braindead so it's actually faster to just invade and spank them.

Will he stop spawning after a killing him to many times would you be able to use Bonfire Astetic to respawn him?

At first this wasn't working (change in RAM/memory wasn't noticable), so I decided to do it maually, however, for reasons unclear to me the memory droppped by about 100MB after killing the phantom the first time and after that I could usually depend on this method.

Although about 20% of the time the Ram would fluctuate up and down seemingly without reason, the rest of the time it would find a stable point (in my case it was usually just below 300MB) and increase by a few MB - anywhere between 5.5-7 for me - every time the respawn sound and particle effect was done when resting at the bonfire. It would then fall back down after about 5 or 6 seconds.

While the fluctuating RAM was annoying, just waiting for it to pass/pushing through anyway worked for me. Less than an hour later and here I am commenting with Hidden Weapon in my inventory. :sans:

just spam the bonfire and go up the ladder and check for him, then use a homeward bone or the feather and repeat

Just tried this method, didn't work. my RAM usage stayed absolutely the same wether the Mad Warrior was spawning or not. Even if it's changing a little, im sure it's not because the Mad Warrior was being loaded into the game. Tried to do it manually and i've already done it in less than 2 hours.
