FOR INFO REGARDING DLC, SKIP ALL THE WAY DOWN

This or Gold version - I have yet to play the Gold released but from what I understand, they have different story + more characters and other stuff new stuff in Gold.

  • Game Mechanic and personal suggestions:
I won't be talking about battle and so on as that might kill the joy for some. It is similar to Sengoku Rance (Not on Steam, it is on Manga Gamer website) but about unique mechanics of this game to enjoy the most of it (if you really need a guide, please search gamefaq for the ps3 version walkthrough).

Please play the game a bit before reading the rest to understand more easily.

  • In this game you have turns, do they matter?
No. You can take your sweet time, regardless of what the story says, you can make another 1.000 turns and nothing will be affected the story or character events as there are no Achievements or anything (at least when I wrote this).

  • Anything missable? Yes, Items and post-game (continue reading for more info).

    Additional:
Michelangelo (character) - from the JP 2012 PC version of the game. I have not seen any event or any way of getting her and I did all events, even NG+ on Hard mode. So if anyone found a way on the STEAM (and not fan translation of the 2012 that has her) please tell and I'll add. For now, I say: Michelangelo is not in the steam version + DLC (might change if they release a new update)
Little conversations - Like still having Russia around when almost conquering EU - Europe and not sea region. Certain event were you need to choose if you go the easier way or the hard way. But there is nothing to gain, so just save, see the easier way conversation, and reload to do the harder way for the missable item.

  • Can I just waste my turns for money and turn recovery? Yes. 2 exceptions: if you did not take ANY, not even 1 action for a few turns, well, you will see what happen, try it out as its actually funny. Otherwise, yes, take at least 1 action per turn and just waste away turns (as this is the fastest way to recover troops and gain money) but at some point, other nations might start becoming stronger (I say might as I read about it but didn't trigger myself and I write only what I experience for sure).

  • Best way to play in my opinion:
If at peace: Don't declare any war until you finished all side events you can do, and go to war after (even if the main story said you need to hurry).
If at war: Do all side and characters events 1st (ensure to end the turn with enough troops available if you are being attacked) and then capture the next city. Once captured, you will get tons of side events again (especially end game).
All side events don't affect the story directly so you can do them even before the last battle. However: its better to do any side event 1st as they can give: money, items, new characters, new character skills.

Each time you capture a new town, you get new character and side events. So you can have a character with 2-3 events at once, or have a character forever with no event, but all you need to do is do any event available and capture a new city, keep repeating this and you will have all character events unlocked with time.

Conquer the strongest nation 1st, don't take shortcuts and so on for missable equipments. See GameFAQs ps3 version of the game, under Miscellaneous section if you want a full list (there are no story spoilers in that section) of missable items (and they don't carry over in NG+, so you need to redo those conditions if you start even with the option to carry all treasures over) - I used that list, so it is not fair for me to get any credit for the info, that's why I said where to find it instead of providing the info.

  • Troops:
Using money, you can increase the size of your troops. Max 9.999. However, this not the cap, as each time, after battle, any surviving unit gets additional new troops especially if geat victory. Tiny spoiler regarding troops for later in game: This is the only way to increase the HP of the special units.

What's the absolute max troop size cap? 999.999, anything more than that, will be reset back to that number once battle ends. However, due to the amount of money required, once you hit 5k, you should really focus on skills and item combination. So getting all your troops to 9.999 is a huge waste of time and will need tons of money.

  • Is there a hard mode? yes, 2 types, 1 defeat stronger nation 1st and you'll get the option to makes others stronger, and 2 NG+. None affect story, just gears and troop of the enemy.

  • Endings? apparently there are 2, however, I find it more of a post-game, so let me say it differently: Conquer everything, if you do that, not only you will see the normal ending but get a post-game as well.

  • NG+: keep treasures and play hard mode (that's it)

How to get NG+: Once you beat the game (you won't be given an option to save), just start a new game (the main menu as you open the game, no load save, no nothing, just press the 1st option of start a "new game") you'll be asked if you wish to transfer your items (most of them, some needs to be re unlocked, and no, you won't get duplicates of the items), increase the difficulty to hard mode (just stronger troops, no change, no extra content) and that it. Every skill, troop size etc resets like new.

  • DLC

Is it Uncensored, +18, no mosaic?

    YES

  • Where to get it from:

I don't know if I'm allowed to post links so I'll just say: search for jastusa . com and look for 'Eiyu*Senki – The World Conquest – DLC [Steam]'

Make sure it says FOR STEAM VERSION

It cost $5.99 but you can pay in £/€/etc (as you can change to your currency of choose top left).

You need an account (with a valid home address and stuff) and a bank card or Paypal (I went with Paypal). I was charged exactly what my currency of choose said I will be charged (no extra fee, though it still appeared as $5.99 on my non-$ account, but I used my region's currency and not $ to pay for it - off, in short: chose your Paypal currency and it will show the exact amount you will be charged).

Again: Go to the website, find DLC (for steam), create an account, it set to your Paypal account currency to see how much you will be charged (as exchange rate change daily), buy it and you are done.
From there, just go to "My Account" and download the DLC. Run the DLC were you installed the steam version. Once you started the game, open Gallery, in there, it should say 105 as the total amount of images.

    Reason to buy the DLC:
    Adds adult material

    and

if you could afford to buy the main games, please spare some change for the DLC (instead of getting it off the internet) as this is what keeps +18 going DLCs for Steam VN going -> there are tons of "All age" VN on steam with no +18 DLC available, so you either play "All age" or purchases the game from game website (aka, no cards, no achievements and so on what steam offers, like being able to purchase games in your own countries currency is your not using $s).

  • Frequency of adult scenes: Really low at the beginning, high at the end.
Most girls(not all) have only 1 adult scene, sometimes not even a good angle or all the way.

I had to run the (legitimately bought) .exe in the Steam folder of the game (The one you get to when you "browse local files"), outside of it it did not work for me.

This might also be because I have several hard drives, and it just needs to be on the same drive

Sorry but can't help.

The Full game (+18, no extra patch needed) can be brought from jastusa or just the +18 DLC for the Steam version. The +18 DLC for the Steam version (brought from jastusa) is an .exe file, meaning all you need is to have the steam version of this game installed and run the .exe.

So your question makes only sens if its a pirated version. If its however the patch from jastusa, than again, Have the Steam version of this game installed, and run the .exe as it will do everything on its own.
