Beta 5_03 (2021/08/09) changelog
-----------------------------
Steam ID : 2043509327

Beta 5 Important Notes :
This version require now Cinematic Battle Effects main mod and is incompatible with mods that use "battle_entity_effects_junction_tables" for blood and dust effects and partially incompatible with mods that use "projectile_display_tables" and "projectile_impacts_tables".
If you don't use Cinematic Battle Effects you have alternative versions compatible with Vanilla.

If you see units without or with too heavy blood effects, feel free to tell me their name. (except on cavalry because I can't figure out how to display their blood decals for now)

The video don't represent the current Beta 5 version anymore, I will update it when major changes will be finish. If you want to use Beta 3 or older versions, you can found them into "Alternative Versions" section under the "Older Versions" link.

Description :
CBE Blood Addon is a submod of Cinematic Battle Effects which aims to make battles more bloody. This Addon is mainly possible due to the awesome works of Neutz on his "More Gore!" mod for Total War Warhammer 1.
It's a merged pack between a resurrect of V1.3 blood textures of Neutz, textures that change the amount of bloods on units provided by "Less Blood, Less Gore! - II" made by bigsur, and personal tweaks and textures.
It also affect blood spurts and other effects to something less exaggerated than vanilla.

Alternative Versions :
You can found here external alternative versions that are more perf friendly over time.
Keep it mind these versions have always an important impact on your performances.

Install instructions :
  1. Subscribe to the default Steam Workshop version.

  2. Download the necessary external movie files below.
  3. Extract and overwrite the existing .pack file by one of its alternative version into your Steam Workshop mod folder, you can found it by its Steam ID : 2043509327.
    ( On the same drive that your game repertory,
                  by default : "...\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\594570\2043509327" )

  4. Open the launcher, enable the mod and enjoy !

Fade Decals Version
This version is the same version as default one without infinite decals. It's a first try and I'm not sure to keep it because on my side the gain is very small or inexistent, tell me on your side.

Vanilla Compatible Versions
If you don't use the CBE | Cinematic Battle Effects main mod, you can found here all versions compatible for vanilla.

Beta 3 Versions
These versions are based on the very first beta versions and don't use any tables, so they are probably compatible with every mods except other blood mods. They don't use the new textures so they have heavier performances impact over time.
You can see them on the screenshots or into the video.

Older Versions available here[drive.google.com].

FAQ :
- Is this Blood Addon contain VFX and external movie packs file ?
Yes this addon contain VFX files. However you don't need additional external files because the new CA launcher support movie packs now, that's why it's requiered. So you must enable it into your launcher like a regular mod.
I don't know about unofficial launchers.

- My Launcher doesn't support movie pack files.
You can use these external movie pack files instead, available here[drive.google.com]
Put one of them into your game data folder, by default : "...\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War WARHAMMER II\data". Delete it to uninstall.
You must repeat the operation after each update. (no actions into the launcher required)

- How Can I have More Blood on Units and Corps, like Vanilla ?
If you want more blood on corps and units like vanilla or More Gore!, you can follow this
very easy tutorial[drive.google.com].

Compatibility :
- Requiere Cinematic Battle Effects 3.8 or higher.
- Designed for v1.12.x of CA game version. (The Rakarth Update & DLCs)
- Requiere the new CA launcher or KMM to works.
- Savegames compatible.

- Compatible with CBE | Cinematic Battle Effects Thicker Dust.

- Partially Conflicting with mods that use "projectile_display_tables" and "projectile_impacts_tables".
- Conflicting with mods that use "battle_entity_effects_junction_tables" to change blood or dust. As you can expect, it's also Conflicting with other blood mods that use the same VFX.

Troubleshooting and Issues :
- Performances
This mod is heavy, you must have a solid setup to run it in huge battles for now.
Take note that Beta 3 Extreme version can completely overload your game on big and long battles, due to its amount of infinite lifetime decals that stacking over time.

What is this supposed to look like in its current form?

Right now, using CBE main, proper effects, and this I’m seeing very little blood on the units, no fountains or explosions of blood, and VERY little blood on the ground (like these tiny decal specks in high combat areas).

Is that how it’s supposed to be?

I like my units not being covered, I don’t mind the lack of fountains and explosions, but I want blood and gore on the ground.

@Cracktober
Hi, verify if you have deleted correctly every related mod files into your game data folder, if you've put some file here.
Otherwise look if you have a folder named "2043509327" into "...\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\594570", if yes delete it.

Hello, Ive used this mod for a while now, but long story short: I uninstalled it, but the blood/gore from this mod is still present in the game. How would I go about to get back to vanilla blood and gore?
Railgun  [tekijä] 29.1.2022 klo 4.46
@Painkiller
For bloodsprays, it's not really easy to do, look my 2 comments bellow for more details.
But if you want more blood on models like in vanilla, it's not that hard, look the FAQ for the instructions. ;)

Is there a way to just have the more blood decals on the ground without the less gore stuff ?
Railgun  [tekijä] 15.1.2022 klo 8.41
@Why R U Ghay?
Yes, but you must use the Vanilla compatible version (or the Beta 3).

If you want to spread more decals too like more gore in this situations, it's a bit more tricky, but the most simple way is to add some decals paragraphs set up like this (you can play with the scale too):
<vfx inst_name= [...] infinite_life="false"> (I recommend left them on false for that case)
<emitter name="..._decal_..." [...] />
</vfx>
You have different type of decals contained into paragraphs that you can find into the files (you can take a look into beta 3 if you want, that is really more close to more gore, you can use its lines on the new versions without trouble, except performance drop)

If you add them into "wh_dlc02_blood_dismember_..." that don't have the mention "onground", they will appears when they are hit and dismembered, if you add them on the file with the mention "onground", they will appear once their body on the ground.

Add decals on these files can really easily overload the engine and make crashes and huge performance drop.
