How to Remove Skin Blemishes from Photos

Follow this tutorial to easily get rid of skin blemishes in photos. Remove wrinkles, pimples, scars, warts, and much more. Minimize pores and get glowing skin.

Upload a Photo
Click Browse for Images to open an image from your computer. If you want to continue editing the photo you last opened using Movavi Photo Editor, hit the preview image under the Browse for Images button.
Edit Blemishes
Go to the Retouching tab.
  • To remove pimples, birthmarks, or freckles, choose Blemish removal.
  • Make the Brush size a little larger than the blemish and click the imperfection you want to remove.
  • Repeat the process until everything looks the way you want it. Hit Apply.













  • To get rid of wrinkles and small scars, choose Wrinkle removal on the right side of the program window.
  • Adjust the Brush size so that it’s comfortable to paint along the wrinkles.
  • Set Intensity to get the desired effect. Hit Apply.












  • To reduce oily skin shine, choose Shine removal. This is a one click edit – just hit the Remove Automatically button.
  • Or use Manual Mode – set the Brush size and click the areas that need correction. Hit Apply.










  • To shrink pores and make skin look soft, choose Skin smoothing.
  • Adjust the parameters of the brush to get the best effect, then paint the skin. Hit Apply.
Revive Dull Skin
Use digital cosmetics to make your skin glow.
  • Apply Foundation: choose from the preset colors or use the Color picker to find the most appropriate color for the skin tone.
  • Add Blush: find the right color and apply the blush on the cheekbones. Adjust the Color intensity so the makeup looks natural.
  • Click Apply.














Try other functions in the Retouching tab if you want to play with other ways to enhance appearance.
Save the Result
  • Hit the Save button in the bottom right corner of the app.
  • Type in the file name and change the file type if needed. Click Save.
