Making this as an Antimagic Dwarf.

ADDONS: that will help make the game easier to get into and understand. The only "true cheating" addon might be considered the enhanced escorts as it makes them less retarded and heal a little every turn. They still get shredded on unlucky spawns and stuff though so not a big deal. I still only get to save 3-5 every run with OR without it on anyway.

Improve Auto-explore and Rest(USE THIS)

Makes it so when you have things on autocast it waits for them to be ready again before you explore. Without this addon putting Wrath of Highborn on autouse when enemies are visible and adjacent will result in you exploring BEFORE it is ready. The only way around this is to manually cast it. No thanks.

Simplified Prodigy Requirements(USE THIS)

This makes Corrupted Shell only need 75 blight damage instead of 7,500 taken. Likewise the same for windblade damage from 50K to...none. All you need is the dex req of 50 dex. Horde +dex gear early game.

Escorts Enhanced

Makes the escorts actually follow you and not ♥♥♥♥ off and die for no reason.

Faster Run/Rest/Explore

Just speeds up autoexplore. Saves time, changes nothing in the game.

GO CRAFT QUARTZ RINGS IN ANGOLWEN BEFORE YOU DO ZIGUR ANTIMAGIC! You can check the gem shops in Dorf City AND Derth for quartz if you dont find any in Sandworm Lair. Quartz rings give 30% stun res and 100% stun res ASAP will make your game MUCH easier. Also the Ring shop might sell Stun res rings OR amulets. Check them all at lvl 10 and lvl 20. STUN IMMUNE=EASY GAME

I went antimagic in Zigur after doing Sandworm Lair. You can not even zigur if you have any Runes as they are magic and Zigur hates magic obv. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE NO ARCANE GEAR ON because when you start the antimagic test all your arcane gear is stripped from you. This will obviously get you killed when you have no weapons or armor and are suppose to kill mobs in an arena.

T2: Sandworm Lair (free stats when you eat the heart)>Maze>Old Forest>Daikara> Urkis Quest

Halfling Ruins. and then Concave Vault if you get it.

If you are on NM or Insane you should probably skip the Graveyard and Spellblaze. If you DO do either make sure its after you upgrade manaclash doing the Urkis Quest (removes 4 sustains per cast) You will also want this for when you fight The Master in Dreadfell.

You can wander in the snow up North to Trigger the Hidden Tunnels and rescue the merchant around level 20. The Merchant has the closed shop in Last Hope and once you come back from the east you can gamble here for GREAT artifacts. ONLY gamble for lites/Rings/Amulets/ and Cloaks. Rings are high priority. Dont gamble amulets at all if you know you are going to make Limmirs Amulet

Dreadfell>Reknor> Vor Armory and then Briaghs Lair and go back West and do back up Guardians

SWL(you get cat point here with worm bile>scint>old forest>maze>kor pul>trollmire>deadfell>daikara>reknor

If you still need gear after going back east do the spider cave. Lots of good drops here.

Do Grushnak pride first as Plate of the Blackened Mind seems to be here almost every run for me and you REALLY want it. and then the other prides in any order DONT FORGET TO DO THE IMPORTANT NEWS QUEST!

Finish Prides and do High Peak and Final fight

How to win and Tips
How to play and win:

Your ideal inscriptions at level 20 will be

Movement

Heal/ Wild phys/mental

Regen

Wild phys

if possible ALWAYS keep a mind clear torque to clear confusion from you. It takes a turn to activate but you might just die being confused otherwise. The Thalore city up by Heart Of Gloom might sell one. Check at lvl 10 and 20.

AVOID ALL THE PATROLS!!! I watched a guy purposely fight zigur and adventure parties on twitch and it was getting him killed. Do not fight any patrol, even orcs if you can avoid them. If you DO get caught you can Rod of Recall out of most ambushes. Best to just flat out avoid.

CHECK THE SHOPS! They update at player level 10,20,30,40! Always look for better infusions/weapons/armor. I found a t4 mind clear torque at a shop i used 90% of the game in the Thalore shop at level 20. Clear mind torques will cleanse confuse and save your life. These also clears Sleep and Inner Demons.

bind shield pummel to your left click so when you spam like a fool you at least stun guys.

RUN AWAY when you dont know what to do. Funnel guys into one tile hallways if possible early game.

BLOCK when you have a decent shield Right click on your block icon and set it to auto use when enemies are visible and adjacent. You will have to redo this every time you switch shield or slots. Enemies that hit you when you are blocking go under counter strike.

SANDWORM LAIR take a belt of unlife into here in case you get stuck in the sand. this prevents you from dying to suffocation. You can get a belt of unlife from almost any shop that sells belts. Check them all.

take inscription for MOVEMENT. use it to run away from guys that are going to kill your ass and break line of sight with trees or around corners. Do not use anything like a heal until you make it somewhere safe as ANYTHING that isnt movement will cancel the movement. Use a HEAL(not regen, take a turn and will get you killed) before a movement if you need to run away

FUNGUS/ Battle tactics

Fungus is much better to take than Tactics here as your Dex wont be high enough to make Greater Weapon Focus super useful. But you have to kill Urkis first and be Anti Magic from Zigur to utilize this point. Can do urkis anytime after you get your first prodigy(at 25) and are antimagic. Make sure when you find urkis you hit him with anti magic zone.

3/5 ASAP good break point for your stun. Stuns HALVE enemy damage.

- Riposte

4/5 later in the game. It makes counterstrike last TWO turns. Enemies under counterstrike take double damage or some ♥♥♥♥. So usually block and the Assault or Windblade is the go to. Especially if you have Greater Weapon Focus active

- Shield Slam

3/5 is an extra block supposedly

- 1/5 Assault main Nuke, use on enemies under the effect of counter strike

Technique / Battle tactics

- Greater Weapon Focus

4/5 this is your massive damage. It makes your hits happen twice. Great with windblade or Assault especially on enemies under the effect of counter strike.

- Step Up makes you move VERY fast. watch for it to proc, you get to move very far with it for free.

- Bleeding Edge reduces enemy healing. Great on guys that use regen life a lot.

- True Grit you can read what it does. i didnt use it much all game tbh and the points might be better spent elsewhere

- Last Stand

5/5 i maxed this ASAP. keeps you alive if you get stuck in a bad spot. it is always preferred to movement infusion away and fight guys 1 on 1 but when it is not possible this will save your life.

5/5 i maxed this late game as i had to sink points somewhere. Would have been better in spell shield.

3/5 Very good damage reduction for elements. Set to auto use when available and Request Confirm before using as it will turn off a lot. DO NOT turn it back on if you think the next hit might kill you.

- Mana Clash

1/5 after you kill Urkis talk to the leader of zigur and she unlocks the Fungus tree and upgrades this ability to remove 4 sustains per cast. This makes killing The Master and Elandar and other Archmage types so much easier (like vor) Lead with Antimagic zone and then hit them with this to remove their buffs. This is also great to use on undead as it removes their blurred mortality and makes them easier to kill.

Cunning / Survival1.00

1/5 see invis nerds, get by like lvl 12

1/5 good to max if you take tinkers

- Track

1/5 used to see bad guys thru walls before you engage. Very Useful

- Danger Sense 0 or 1/5 can be a good point if you find it to spare. But i think this is already kinda generic hungry and Power is money gives you massive saves already.

5/5 i max this to 3/5 by level 5 so it has a random chance to clear confusion. i max mid/late game. 3/5 asap

Final tips
Prodigies

25 WINDBLADE (i can carry the world)

make sure you stack a lot of +dex items so you can reach 50 dex for this at 25. its a MASSIVE aoe nuke that also disarms the guys you hit. Is amazing with Greater weapon Focus as it can hit EVERYONE twice.

I CAN CARRY THE WORLD

ICCTW gives you 50 str and removes fatigue. You can take this at 25 if you want if you feel you are poor at managing your stamina. I would take windblade at 25 personally cuz with a good weapon it will kill everyone in a 4 radius in one cast anyway. And the ones that live will be almost dead and disarmed for 4 turns anyway.

Alchemist quest

+2 class from Hermit, 2 generics from Last Hope, and then do Stire of Dearth and hope you can get the Lifebinding Emerald. If you get the book to make the special amulet do Lifebinding Emerald/ Petrified Wood but if you dont use Goedaloth Rock or whatever its called. Rock/Wood Amulet ;]

Stats: STR>Dex>Con=Wil

Str gives damage. Dex gives a chance to hit and great scaling with Greater Weapon Focus. Con keeps you alive. You want a little wil early game for stamina management and you will want to keep +WIL gear to help hit your reqs in the Antimagic Tree. Need 42 Wil for Manaclash.

High Peak:

Make sure you can track and use something that reveals the area around you (earths Eyes/Eyes of the Forest Helm, Omniscience) and just dig the the walls/movement around the entire map. When you see a stair guardian make him see you and when he moves off the stairs use your infusion to just run around him and take the stairs to the next floor. The stair guardians are VERY dangerous. Avoid at all costs if possible.

Your Normal fights will be to rush into a group(which will trigger your block you have set on auto use) turn on Greater Weapon Focus (instant) and then use Windblade and delete everyone. Dont forget to use regens(be careful they take a turn)/heals or a movement infusion to run away if things get shady. Worst case you use Last Stand and fight and ♥♥♥♥ dudes up. Windblade is only a 12 turn cool down so its there to use again not long after you use it the first time.

thanks for the write-up, but i wouldnt agree that this is a noob-guide. i understood very little of the stuff youre talking about and couldnt really follow. im sure its usefull to somebody who allready has a solid understanding of the game
