As a new player that came somewhat late to this game, I have to say that this guide is amazing. Well organized and to the point.

Still one of the best guides for this game as far as farming goes. This can feel tedious at times, but at least it's a break from the story, leveling, shattered realm, or specific farms.

I like many others can't seem to find the totems, I got to the spots marked on the maps and literally stand right on the point where the totem is supposed to be but get nothing, is there a specific level I need to be in order to find the savage totems or is it a story related thing?

@TwoZigZags Just in case you didn't know already, Vinelton in ancient grove sells a lot of blueprints up to lvl 75 I think, so if you are missing some of that lower or mid level range, he might be worth a visit

My route is - go to WP, open map, if you don't see a totem or it is too far, go to next WP. Saves a ton of time rather than running around checking every location. I've written down where they mostly spawn, and do this - Arkovian Foothils, Cronley, Twin Falls, Blood Grove, Asterkan Valley, Gates of Necropolis, Necropolis Interior. Takes all of 5-10 minutes a run finding 3-6 totems.

This looks like great work, thanks! I think a couple of totems may be missing spawn points; on the GrimTools map, they're linked in spawn groups (i.e., if it spawns at one of the 3 points it won't spawn at the other 2 points in the same group), and some of those groups have a spawn point in a nearby cave or slightly further away from the others. (For instance, the Wightmire spawn group has a fourth potential location by Isaac's Stash, and there's a totem that will spawn in either the Infested Cellar or the Musty Cellar by the Burrwitch Village rift.)

Some of the spawn points are far enough away they may not be worth checking in terms of efficiency, but if some of the places listed above aren't spawning them, there might be another location in the spawn group. You can check all of these on the GrimTools map by clicking on the icon for a potential totem spawn and it'll shown the other spawn points in the group.

Thanks for this, great guide. Don't know why others are having problems, all I can suggest is explore the map first as you won't see totem spawns from max distance if you haven't revealed the area they spawn in first, and some won't reveal until you get close enough (as noted in this awesome guide). I don't see how this isn't a great farm method as it's rare I don't get a legendary at least every other shrine, I'm mostly doing this for recipes right now as I'm missing so many.

I my experience, totem loot is really lackluster. They are a nice addition as extra "chests" if you spot any on your normal farming routes, but farming them on purpose seem not worth to me. Rougelikes and SR seem like better options.
