Swap Starting Deck Mod

Beskrivelse
Replaces Neow's 3rd option with an option to swap your starting deck for either random cards or a predefined package of cards.

There is also a modifier for custom runs that will let you swap without penalty at the start of the game.

Each character in the base game has 5 packages defined. You can choose between 2 of them, or a random set of 10 common cards. Custom characters from other mods will only have the option of 10 random common cards.

If things are too easy for you, head to the mod settings panel from the main menu and enable Cruelty Mode, where the drawbacks are extremely severe. Alternatively, enable Insanity mode to start with 50 random cards instead of 10 random common cards.


Please let me know if anything is not working correctly, if something feels far too strong or weak, or if you have any other ideas for improvements!

I tried the mod and got this error message and crash upon startup

Is there a list of the package contents anywhere? I'm all for discovery but with only 2 at a time I've done quite a few runs with only seeing the same 2-3 XD

@trelian5 I think the other mod you remembered was "Ironclad Rager". Difference seems to be that this mod has more variety in terms of starting decks, but no custom cards.

With the lack of a Custom Start Mod nowadays, your work is excellent! Would it be possible to extend this into Custom Mode? I'd like to try your decks with the Starter Deck rule to see how far I'd get with just those cards.

I tried this and gota say I Really, but Really like this mod.For me it remove the repetition at the beginning on everyrun, heck even change the way you normally play in some classes and try out interesting builds right away, i Like it! :)

Since there is so much more potential for this already good idea, I'd like to suggest three things to make it one of what I'd call "core mods":
-A framework to easily contribute/make decks for the other mods
-Compability with Better Rewards (Option in the shop, cost perhaps 400-500 score)
-Easy, er, Custom mode where one can select any deck for no penalty
