Starstorm is a huge mod for Risk of Rain which expands on the game's content respecting the original vision and concepts while also improving on them significantly!

The mod adds over 40 items, 6 survivors, enemies, artifacts, stages and much, MUCH MORE!

Now, to get the mod you must make sure you have the game installed (of course!) and that you are on a Windows PC, as modding isn't currently supported on other platforms.

Head over to https://rainfusion.net/ and click on "Download ModLoader" at the top! This, as the name implies, is the mod loader, requirement for installing any mods!
Inside this site you can also find the latest Starstorm version, as well as many other great mods!

Once you have downloaded the ModLoader, be sure to execute it. It will ask for your installation folder of Risk of Rain 1, which normally is automatically detected, otherwise you must direct it to where your "Risk of Rain.exe" is located!

That isn't too hard, is it?


Open the launcher and a window should open with all you will need for launching modded Risk of Rain. If you encounter any issues please reffer to the information further below for troubleshooting.


Once the ModLoader is up and running you may want to get the actual mod for it!
You can either download it manually from the https://rainfusion.net/ site or you can navigate through the "Rainfusion" tab [1] in the launcher to download it automatically.

If you do it manually there's a few extra steps:
- Navigate to the "Manage" tab [2] and click on the "Mods Folder" at the bottom [3], this will open the folder where you shall place downloaded file.
- Extract the downloaded file (as it will download as a .zip).
Note: make sure the extracted file ends in a folder containing a "metadata.json" file, otherwise the ModLoader won't recognize it!

Once all of the above is done, enabling the mod is as simple as navigating to the "Manage" tab [2],
clicking "Reload Content" at the bottom [4], clicking the "Starstorm" mod in the "Disabled" section [5] and clicking that sweet "Enable" button at the bottom [6], (right beside "Reload Content")!

You can now launch the game by the "Launch" button and enjoy!

-"Framerate is capped at 40 fps: This is a ModLoader bug, set the display's refresh rate to a value of 120 or 60 to fix this.
