Beta FAQ
1) What is the beta time schedule?
Beta Period: February 27, 2020 (Thurs) - March 8, 2020 (Sun)
  • North America
    13:00 - 22:59 PST / 16:00 - 01:59 EST
  • Europe
    14:00 - 23:59 CET
  • Russia
    14:00 - 23:59 MSK
  • Asia
    14:00 - 23:59 KST (UTC+9)

2) I received my beta key but I also received a "special beta key". What's the difference?
The "special beta key" you received in the notification email is an extra beta key which you can share with a friend!
(Because sharing is caring, and things are better with a buddy around.)
There is no difference between the "special beta key" and the one you received, and you can only register 1 per Steam account.

3) Can I server hop during the beta?
I want to play in the Asia server, then the EU server, then the NA server - gonna go all out.
Yes, you can technically play on multiple servers throughout the beta using only 1 Key. However, note that you'll need to make an account for each server that you are playing in and any progress from one server does not carry on to a different server.

4) Is there an NDA on Shadow Arena?
Nope! There is no NDA, so you can stream and make as many videos/pieces of content about Shadow Arena as you'd like.
If you want to share your streams and content with the community, make use of the Discord's #live-streams, #videos, and #artwork-and-screenshots channels. We always love seeing new stuff!
Support FAQ
Crash Issues:

As soon as I click “Start Game” on the launcher, the game crashes.
● Method 1: System File Recovery
- Press windows key + X
- Click Command Prompt or Windows PowerShell (Admin)
- Type "sfc /scannow" and enter (do not include the quotation marks!)
- After system scan, restart your computer.

● Method 2: If the file is not recovered through method 1,
- Press windows key + X
- Click Command Prompt or Windows PowerShell (Admin)
- Type "DISM.exe / Online / Cleanup-image / Scanhealth" and enter (do not include the quotation marks!)
- After system scan, type "DISM.exe / Online / Cleanup-image / Restorehealth" and enter (do not include the quotation marks!)
- After system scan, restart your computer.

Game Start/Launcher Issues:
● Method 1:
Go to your steamapps folder. The location of this file depends on where your Steam library is being saved to on your PC.
1) Go to Steam > steamapps > common > Shadow Arena > EasyAntiCheat > EasyAntiCheat Setup
2) Repair Service > Finish
3) Launch Shadow Arena

● Method 2: If Method 1 doesn’t work…
This problem may be caused by your PC’s antivirus program.
Players have had success after removing their antivirus/malwarebytes.

My Shadow Arena download is stuck at 1% and it's not moving.
Your download is not frozen or broken; it's progressing, but it could take a very long time. Many players have reported that they were stuck at the 1% mark for a while and the download progress jumped after some time had passed.

I am getting the following error message: Failed to load d3d11.dll
Shadow Arena is optimized for DirectX version 11.0, though it may run without a problem for those who have higher versions. If you are experiencing this problem, then try to use DirectX version 11.0.

My game launcher is permaloading and nothing happens.
Try turning Family Share off and then launch the installer again. If the issue persists, let a CM know in the #tech-support channel.

After I change the resolution of my screen, my mouse does not work and I can’t click anything.
1) Go to Documents folder > Shadow Arena folder
2) Delete the UserCache folder
3) Back in the Shadow Arena folder, open the GameOption text file
4) Change the width / height to your monitor's screen resolution and start the client.
(Or change the windowed value to one of the following: [ 0 = Full Screen, 1 = Full Screen Window, 2 = Window ] )

My game is set to fullscreen window mode and I can’t click things on the top menu properly.
1) Go to Documents folder > Shadow Arena folder
2) Delete the UserCache folder
3) Back in the Shadow Arena folder, open the GameOption text file
4) Change the windowed value to 1

The Borderless Window setting has a white border around it.
This occurs when you go from Windowed to Borderless Window.
To get rid of the border, go from Full screen to Borderless Window.

Not quite sure, have you verified the integrity throughout your library / game / right click / .... / cache and then verify. Or simply join their discord and go to the bug channel.

Hi Wholf do you know anything about the problem with the launcher turning white, it remains operational because if I click in the center it sends me to the you tube website with the game trailer, I don't see anything because it is white.
