Lebanon is a country located at the crossroads of the Mediterranean Basin and the Arabian hinterland, facilitating its rich history and shaping a cultural identity of religious and ethnic diversity. Its traditional architectural style grew by selectively integrating various other styles existing along the Mediterranean basin, namely Ottoman and Venetian, in ways that the Lebanese would deem "beautiful".
