Danger zone is a modified battle royale gamemode with up to 18 players. Games typically last around 10 minutes. There are currently 3 maps that can be played: Blacksite, Sirocco and Jungle. Each map has a 10 minute cycle before it is replace by one of the other maps.

1) At any occasion if you or your teammate die, try stay alive and wait till they respawn (use bump mines and your parachute to get away if needed). This will give your team a higher chance to not get squad wiped. When picking a place to respawn, spawn back close if u are winning the fight or go far away if your teammate is losing the fight and gonna die. I've had many teammates who spawn on me when im about to die which gets us squad wiped. Don't risk it play smart, you can get your revenge another time.

2) When picking up the same weapon, press 'e' to transfer the ammo over e.g. having a glock and pressing 'e' on another glock to take the ammo. Guns must be the same when taking bullets e.g. can't take M4A1 bullets when you have an M4A4

3) A lit up hex shows someone is inside the hex so be careful when exploring it. You can also leave your hex and go to an adjacent one to see if there are enemies there. If the yellow fill in the hex disappears when you leave there is no enemies in that hex, opposite if there are enemies in the hex.

4) Press down on the scroll wheel (Mouse 3) to ping enemies, armour, weapons and crates which can be seen by your teammate.

5) Shoot down drones that are carrying items (don't if low on ammo) or are being used (drone pilot). Very satisfying when shoot down someone's scout that they order.

6) Blowing up a cash safe gives $500 and a hostage rescue gives $900 + $50 for getting it closer to the rescue zone. This money can help to get a quick scout or even late game high res.

7) Think everyone should know this rule but i still see it happen a lot, you can't open red smg or shotgun crates by punching them.

8) Instead of spending money to open a locked container, breach charges and he grenades can blow open locked containers so use them to save a few dollars.

9) Drone deliveries follow the tablet it was purchased from. Useful for:

• Dropping the tablet outside a building so the crate doesn't land on the roof.
  
• Dropping the tablet to not give away your location.
  
• Using the tablet as bait

10) A tablet with an upgrade will have either a blue, red or yellow circle on the back of the tablet indicating it has either drone upgrade, zone upgrade or high res. There is currently no way to check if a tablet has drone pilot upgrade (purple) as it does not have a circle at the back and appears normal.


Skins from your loadout section in the inventory will appear on items in:

• Blue Crates that have a knife inside
  
• Pistol crates
  
• SMG or Shotgun crates
  
• Supply Drops

Also, you can spawn with gloves skins if you have them equipped.
Otherwise the default skin will be applied if a crate is broken by fire or explosive damage.

When you load into a new match, you can explore the map and fight other players. You can also check the players in the match by typing in a few commands into the console:

• status
  
• ping

Or by pressing Shift + Tab and going to view players

This will allow you to check for any hackers or suspicious players which you may have encountered. If there are any cheaters in the game, warmup will also allow you to leave the game which does not affect your rank.

Otherwise...

After warmup has ended the Deployment phase will begin. This is when you and your teammate will be able to pick a starting location on the map to drop at. Normally the corners of each map is the safest spot to pick as enemies can't spwan from behind. But this is mostly up to you or your teammates preferences.

There are many deployment perks which are very useful in certain situation.

Good

• Bonus wave money ~ $1000 each wave (750+250), very useful late game (Best one)
  
• Exo jump ~ good to suprise enemies or move quickly
  
• Bonus explore ~ $200 for each hex explored (100+100), Good for if you want to go fight and explore hexes early on. (Bonus wave is better in my opinion but both are good)

Okay

• Armour (situational) ~ might find some when exploring so could be wasted
  
• Taser (situational) ~ open smg/shotgun crates immediately but high chances to find melee weapon or pistol when spawning

Bad

• Parachute ~ terrible
  
• Health shot ~ heals 50 hp but chance to die early and lose it or find an extra one by killing someone or opening a blue crate
  
• Molotovs ~ taser is better
  
• C4 ~ terrible
  
• Drone pilot ~ much useful late game
  
• Shield ~ buy for $500 or find when exploring

1) Once you spawn in, try and find a pistol, armour, smg or shoutgun and kill any other players that spawned close.

2) When you reach $1000 through the next wave bonus or from finding cash, buy mobility package.
This will give you bump mines, exo jump and a parachute.

3) Try not to die early as if you die, you will lose all of your items e.g. medishot, weapons, armour, mobility package.

• SCAR-20 ~ 10 Bullets
  
• Or if you're unlucky you'll get cash (around $2200)

If its not safe to get the drop or you are far away, a good way to get the drop is to buy the Drone Pilot tablet upgrade (purple) for $1000. This will allow you to pilot drones and gives you the ability to 'drone' items to yourself. This can be done by pressing Mouse 1 when the claw starts to move. Drone Pilot is also very handy when there's only a small number of hexes left as you can fly around and spot people with it. However, you are very vulnerable when droning as you are standing still which allows people to sneak up on you.
Drone Pilots Tips:

• You can place breach charges on crates and fly them with a drone to enemy players detonating when it is close to them.
  
• When a player orders a lot of items, you can sometimes drone a few crates away from them which are most of the times ammo and meds.
  
• If you have an item droned, and 'esc' out of the tablet, the drone will deliver the item to you without having to be piloted. However be careful as other people can take over the drone if it's not piloted.

Pressing 'R' makes the drone you are piloting drop to the ground and turn into a molotov. When the drone drops to the ground, it will be unabled to be use any further so you will have to order a new one. Useful when you see someone order a mass amount of items and you can crash the drones on him or take some of his crates.

The High Res tablet upgrade (yellow) cost $4250. It turns the original hexagons from the map to 6 triangles per hex. This upgrade improves where to expect the next enemies are gonna be and is very useful to know the general direction of the opponent. The high price of $4250 makes it not viable for all players as ammo and medishots are more important.

The scout (SSG 08) can be purchased for $3250 and comes with 12 bullets. This long range sniper rifle is a 1 shot headshot and deals around 70 points of health when hit in the body making it a very deadly weapon to face. Each box of ammo give 8 additional bullets (2 per every stack) with a max of 10/90 shots. however you will probably not need more than 30 shots unless you're a bot.

Use high place (Water Tower, Kasbah, Radio Tower or just random trees) to get a height advantage on other players. While it may be hard to see enemies due to the fog, your teammate can use drone piloting to ping enemies out for an easy kill.

The Moblility package for $1000 contains: Exo Jump, Bump Mines and a Parachute.

Exo Jump
ctrl + jump to go foward quickly (around 350-400 velocity)
hold space to jump up higher (good on floatila)
allows you to jump on roofs of buildings and suprise enemies

Bump Mines
bump mines can be picked up if placed by holding 'e' on them for 2 seconds. Be careful not to get too close or you will activate it. you get 3 bump mines per pack. you can refill your bump mines by pressing 'e' on another set of bump mines. When bump mining, landing on any bit of water whatever the depth will deal 0 damage. Also sometimes no damage is taken when hitting the ground on an angle/sloped surface.

Parachute
Press spacebar while in the air to deploy the parachute. Auto deploy is also a thing which is really bad as when escaping certain situations it deploys way to early and gets you killed.

Single Bump Mining
3:47, 4:21, 5:30, 5:45, 8:49 (double bump mine)

When combing the ctrl + jump from exo and bump mines, you get a lot of distance

Double Bump Mining

This is when you place one bump mine up high and one below. The velocity from the jump is carried to the 2nd Bump mine which makes you go flying.

First Row contains guns:

• Pistol ~ buy if you don't have any guns (don't buy if there is cz)
  
• SMG ~ not worth in my opinion
  
• Deagle ~ not worth in my opinion
  
• Famas/Galil ~ not worth in my opinion
  
• Scout ~ situational as supply drops will start soon (still a good choice)

Second Row contains general items:

• Knife ~ waste of $250 as an axe or wrench does the same job
  
• Kevlar + Helmet ~ buy if you still haven't found any
  
• Shield ~ optional
  
• Ammo ~ late game
  
• Medishot ~ buy if needed and buy late game to have a spare if enough ammo

Third Row contains support equipment:

• Utility ~ not worth it in my opinion
  
• Radar Jammer ~ people who buy this are noobs
  
• Mobility Package ~ should always buy if not equipped

Fourth Row contains tablet upgrades:

• Drone Upgrade ~ delivers items faster and sees other peoples drops (okay)
  
• Zone Upgrade ~ shows next zone (not essential)
  
• High Res Upgrade ~ splits the hex's into 6 triangles ($4250 could be spent on other things)
  
• Drone Pilot Upgrade ~ almost useful in every situation especially late game

Author's buying recommendations:

• Mobility Package is the first item i buy every game
  
• Armour & Shield if you don't have equipped
  
• Drone piloting > to ping enemies and drone supply drops
  
• Buy a Scout or have an item from a Supply Drop
  
• Buy Ammo for the main gun (1-3 boxes)
  
• Have a spare medishot to heal if needed

Solo queueing is not always the best choice as you may be paired with a bad teammate or even a leaver. I recommended playing with someone you know is good and reliable. Sometimes even silver players are better at danger zone than MG's or Globals but that has to do with experience, map awareness and a good gamesense. So dont underestimate the power of silvers hehe

The rank system is pretty broken in danger zone as a win can still cause you to derank.
Possible factors that may affect rank are: (not confirmed but highly likely)

• Previous matches results
  
• Number of times died
  
• Ranks other other players in the match
  
• Damage dealt to other players
  
• Damage taken
  
• Winstreak

How to Fix:
1) Press esc and go to settings
2) Go to the Audio tab at the top of the bar
3) Select Audio Output Configuration or Audio Device
4) Change the audio to any random one that you are not using
4) Next go change it back to your original audio device that you were using before
5) Repeat these steps if this occurs again.
