go to steam on google and login then look up gta 4 it should let you buy it thats how i got it a few days ago not sure if it was a glitch or something

Actually this move will make it whitelistable for proton. As there were only 2 problems with GTA IV and EFLC: WFL and nvidia crap.
I think the nvidia crap has already been stopped by advertising Radeon to the game on an nvidia card, so it switches to the windows rendering api. But WFL was always crap.
So hooray for that.
And another hooray, as I see my system (A thinkpad T430 laptop with egpu) renders a lot better than this video ;-).

Good job, thanks. And it's known for a long time that R* doesn't care about their old games, that's why they don't renew the music licenses and don't update anything on their old games

I'll buy it again on PC if they polish it off a bit. Glad they're officially removing GFWL, but seeing as there was already community-made patches to remove that system it's not that big of a deal to me. As for multiplayer, I had no idea anyone still played it.

Hey, looks like they added Steam achievements already! So, it's not just about GFWL after all? Weird that Rockstar didn't announce it, maybe there's a chance they are actually adding more stuff and improvements to Complete Edition? Looks like I'm going to make a Re-Install video about the update GTAIV once it'll be released!
