quick update : you can sell the slaves at any station slaves trader. Not on P1 pirate station as you are in bad standings with them after snatching Ukra from them, but any other slave trader will do, found on some stations.

false or outdated info: slave web T1 is active up to 1000m and slave web T2 is active up to 2000m. The rate of ennemies escaping in pods that can be captured is quite low; don't expect an escape pod on every ship you kill.
=> You need top be very close to the escaping pod (yellow ship) to succesfully activate the slave web.

This tutorial titled "capturing slaves" would gain value by also expaining how to sell the slaves afterward. Other than the 4 slaves that need to be captured for the doctor mission on P1, I did not see how to sell them afterward (better for them to be sold than killed in space, no?)

Rest is luck?
I had luck only once (after trying and trying) and luckily captured 4 slaves for that alien doc.
Afterwards I didn't catch a single slave and I tried at least 20 times.
This slave thing is very tricky!
